The fastest-growing Twitch, Kick channels of Q3 2024

The fastest-growing Twitch, Kick channels of Q3 2024

Twitch and Kick both showed stable results throughout the third quarter of Q3. Kick continued its long-standing trend of quarter-on-quarter growth, and Twitch maintained its viewership, while other major livestreaming platform YouTube Live lost a significant portion. Viewership for Kick and Twitch continues to be fuelled by up-and-coming content creators, bringing fresh ideas to the livestreaming scene.

Streams Charts tracks viewership statistics for major livestreaming platforms like YouTube Live and Twitch, as well as smaller platforms Kick, AfreecaTV, CHZZK, and many more. Twitch is a relatively stable platform in the livestreaming industry. Throughout Q3 2024, the purple platform saw new up-and-coming streamers explode in size; but these streamers largely reflect audiences Twitch is well-connected with, not new growing ones. Kick, on the other hand, is seeing two major audiences explode in size: Turkish and Latin American fans.

JasonTheWeen was the fastest-growing Twitch streamer of the quarter with under 1M Followers. Jason established himself as content creator on TikTok, before moving to Twitch and eventually joining FaZe Clan in May earlier this year. Since joining, his channel’s popularity has skyrocketed, and throughout the quarter, he earned 401K new followers. Jason was the first of many American streamers on this list, leading the way ahead of Cinna and Adapt, another FaZe Clan member. Both FaZe members received an extreme boost to watch time from the September FaZe subathon, which saw all FaZe members stream constantly throughout September.

Russian streamers drakeoffc and Stinkik earned their popularity through variety gaming and Just Chatting content, similar to Germany’s zarbex, France’s byilhann, and Brazil’s Bisteconee. These streamers all reflect a selection of Twitch’s major audiences.

Someone who has already had their success, American celebrity Madison Beer held a handful of streams on her channel throughout the quarter. Despite barely breaking the 10 hours live mark for the quarter, she still recorded 173.9K Followers Gained as her popularity preceded her. French streamer helydia also enjoyed some of her most popular stream ever, broadcasting live from ZeratoR’s Z Event. She reached over 50.6K Peak Viewers for this stream, and it exposed her to a massive new audience of potential fans.

While American celebrities and the newest top streamers emerging from countries are important, so are the smaller streamers who make up a considerable portion of Twitch’s total viewership. To get insights to Twitch’s smaller side, we sorted streamers by their Average Viewers dynamics compared to the last quarter, and only considered streamers with less than 1000 AV.

At the top of our list is Hiro_ILoL, a French League of Legends professional who has been expanding into the streaming sphere. The French player competes in the Arabian League, and his broadcasts of his own gameplay, watch parties for French teams like Karmine Corp, and general League of Legends broadcasting has quickly picked up traction. His viewership grew by over 1000% during Q3, and he could quickly become a top LoL streamer in France.

Fellow esports player Melserlol was a little bit further down the list; the Valorant professional player competed with KRÜ Esports during the 2024 VCT season, and is currently looking for a new team. He’s been filling up some of his time on Twitch, maybe also hoping to showcase some of his abilities live on-stream.

Kerrty, an American variety streamer, enjoyed a serious boost to her viewership thanks to Twitch Drops for Hunt: Showdown, usually her viewership is much lower than the almost 1000 AV she recorded. Along with Kerrty, other American streamers here like tytykiller, moonbearry, and SOLIDFPS, enjoyed their growth for similar reasons.

While American streamers preferred variety streaming, other regional broadcasters focused much more on one title to broadcastHeroDengoso of Brazil only streamed Fortnite, and Mariachi from Russia is a streamer and caster for Dota 2, who is also to start to branch out into Valve’s newest title, Deadlock. ちゅらら and やなつん from Japan also focused entirely on one game each, with variety gaming seemingly not as popular for growing streamers from these areas.

Fastest-growing channels on Kick, Q3 2024

Across Kick, Arabic-speaking, Turkish, and Spanish-speaking audiences were clearly the fastest-growing major audiences. The green platform is attracting streamers from all over the world, and their expansions into the MENA and Latin American regions are clearly bearing fruit now.

Abodby of Jordan led the way with over 223K new Followers recorded in a single quarter, with many of his viewers following him from his successful YouTube channel. All the MENA region streamers on this ranking were sizeable content creators on other platforms who have since been persuaded to join KickIlyaselmaliki of Morocco, rraenee, of Turkey, drb7h of Saudi Arabia all have successful YouTube channels, but their presence on Kick is quickly expanding.

Kick also has caught the attention of many of the Spanish-speaking world’s most popular content creators. Spanish creator thegrefg recently joined the platform, along with Argentinian creators spreendavooxenezie, and lacobraaa. These Latin American creators clearly see the power in Kick, especially thanks to its beneficial revenue splits for streamers.

Spanish content creator TheGrefg recently took to Twitter and made headlines after comparing his profits from Twitch and Kick streams. He revealed that Twitch pays him $1,53 per subscription, whereas Kick offers $4,73. For these industry-leading creators with massive audiences, moving to Kick makes simple financial sense, and Latin American streamers make up a large portion of the waves of creators moving to the platform.

On Kick’s smaller side, North American creators razanorth  and esiagivens benefitted from attending and taking part in a $100,000 community event hosted by notorious livestreaming figure Ice Poseidon. Both creators saw massive increases to their viewership while broadcasting from the event, and esaigivens even ended up winning the entire event, as well as increasing his viewership by 395% for the quarter

Aside from these two Americans, the remainder of the list was made up of Arabic-speaking and Turkish content creators who are moving to Kick, and growing there. As the country has cracked down and began to ban certain livestreaming platforms, many creators are moving to Kick both out of necessity, and also likely influenced by the platform’s attractive and lucrative profit spits.

Many of the streamers here are Just chatting and gaming variety channels. One exception is ging, a professional Teamfight Tactics player from Turkey for Oxygen Esports. The streamer exclusively streams Teamfight Tactics, and he appeals to a passionate Turkey community for the esports title.

These advantages are not only affecting established streamers with an existing fanbase of thousands of fans, many of these creators listed like sahweek1, ogibkg, and seagull are finding new fans on Kick. These smaller streamers joining the platform ad finding success are a good sign of a successful entry to the MENA market by Kick, and if Turkish and other MENA regions continue to dominate these rankings, they will likely grow into major international audiences for Kick.
