FaZe becomes the latest Twitch name to join Kick as multistreaming continues gaining traction

After making news in the esports world recently with the blockbuster signing of Counter-Strike icon Oleksandr "s1mpleKostyljev, FaZe Clan is in the news again. The legendary streamer group, which currently has almost 20 content creators, has joined Kick in a move that could have long-standing implications in the livestreaming community.

The news came out on June 12, with fan-led social media reporting that one of the internet's most famous streaming groups will be multistreaming on Kick. This was confirmed when some of its most prominent members' accounts (most of them verified) had been created on the Stake-backed platform:

  • FaZe "FaZeRugAwadi (4.7K followers already on Kick)
  • FaZe Rani "StableronaldoNetz (15.6K followers)
  • FaZe Nick "LacyFosco (46K followers)
  • FaZe Joshua "YourRAGEMaynard (298.2K followers)
  • FaZe Jason "JasontheweenNguyen (3.5K followers)
  • FaZe Jerry "SilkyWoo (2.3K followers)
  • FaZe Kaysan "Kaysan" Ghasseminejad (8.5K followers)

It has to be noted that none of these FaZe Clan streamers have signed exclusivity contracts with Kick, with most of them disclosing that they will continue to give Twitch chat priority. A few of these online stars, like Lacy and Kaysan, have already had a few multistreams on both rival livestreaming services.

Further details have not been announced, but with a few of its members already multistreaming, it's only a matter of time before fans get more news about the exact specifics of this move. Nevertheless, this is a big boost for Kick as it looks to speed up its admittedly impressive growth over the past two and a half years and challenge Twitch's dominance.

What has definitely helped the American company attract a streamer group of the caliber of FaZe Clan is its more lenient broadcasting rules and 95/5 revenue split for creators, meaning the latter keeps 95% of the revenue from subscriptions. This is in stark contrast to Twitch, which has been under fire recently for its poor revenue-sharing model, and YouTube, whose Terms of Service when it comes to earnings for influencers is a lot more complicated, as they involve ad revenue, YouTube Premium subscriptions, and fan funding features.

FaZe Clan has also enjoyed a relatively clean run since its inception in 2020, notwithstanding the FaZe Banks-led purge last year. With its pop culture-adjacent image and combined millions of followers, the group can help strengthen Kick's viewership numbers.

With many of FaZe Clan's streamers also knee-deep into esports streaming and co-casting, the organization can potentially help the livestreaming site grow more in that field, something that has been an open ambition for Kick. If things do go right, this could open the door for partnerships and sponsorships with renowned brands and also attract even more big-time content creators as they look to jump on the multistream bandwagon.

FaZe Clan's recent viewership on Twitch

One of the "OGnames that made the "streamer groupconcept famous during the COVID-19 lockdown era, FaZe has been an ever-present on the Amazon-owned livestreaming service. With its prominent roster of creators who are online quite a lot of the time, the squad regularly finished among the most-watched Twitch teams over the years.

When looking at the side's stats this year, it has accrued 18.49 million Hours Watched (HW) until June 13. That puts it in the 11th place among esports organizations on a list led by other prominent names like Team Liquid, Gentle Mates, Karmine Corp, and SentinelsWhen looking at May 2025's stats alone, it enters the top ten with 3.45 million HW, which was spread among 11 channels.

FaZe Clan finished seventh among esports organizations by watch time for 2024, when it accumulated almost 74.5 million HW. With its streamers likely to multistream for the rest of 2025, the squad could very well finish much higher when we revisit this leaderboard at the end of the year.

Among its most watched influencers in May 2025 were Silky, Kris "SwaggLamberson, and Thomas "ZoomaaPaparatto, all of them attracting over 550,000 HW. Kaysan was the most popular creator with 25,816 Peak Viewers (PV), just the second internet personality in the team, alongside Silky, to get over 20,000 peak concurrent viewers last month as he traveled and had other celebrities and streamers appear on camera.

The team’s content in May 2025 was diversetoo, although IRL livestreams (mostly vlogs and collaboration videos) were the most preferred. However, with a bunch of former esports pros on the books, and with these channels sharing a love for shooters, gaming broadcasts were not ignored, with titles like Call of Duty: Warzone, FortniteCall of Duty: Black Ops 6, and Grand Theft Auto V getting much airtime.

It's an interesting phase for FaZe Clan and its fans, with its members set to multistream for the rest of the year. While this does increase these streamers' visibility and aid Kick in its attempts to grow and attract higher caliber creators, it remains to be seen how this move plays out in the near future.
