As we enter 2024, the year is shaping up to be extremely promising for live streaming. Twitch’s January viewership was higher than we’ve seen in a long time, and multiple new platforms are breaking into the industry. As the community diversifies, globalises, and continues to grow, Streams Charts wants to highlight creators from all around the globe.
Recently, Streams Charts added new Region and Subregion filters to our Channels and Streams pages. Now it is easier than ever before for Streams Charts users to find the top creators and broadcasts from specific regions worldwide. In this piece, you will find the top 10 most-watched creators from 10 major regions from across the globe.
Most Watched Streamers from the USA
From the United States of America, Jynxzi was the top creator for the first month of 2024. The Rainbow 6 Siege streamer garnered 8.91M Hours Watched, setting him ahead of the competition by almost a million hours. Caseoh_ was the fastest-emerging creator on this ranking, enjoying a 78% increase in average viewership for January compared to the previous month, and the single largest increase in Followers for the month.
Other major creators from the region made up the remainder of the top 10, which spanned three separate live streaming platforms. Twitch remains the dominant platform for streamers from the USA, although two streamers from Kick also appeared in this ranking. Kick was one of the fastest growing live streaming platforms throughout 2023, and as the platform begins to find its place within the industry, it settles as one of the top 3 live streaming platforms.
Most Watched Streamers from Canada
For Canadian streamers, xQc was by far the most popular of any of these creators. The streamer signed a non-exclusive contract with Kick in mid-2023, and he currently is more often live on the green platform than on Twitch. Although he generated much more watch time on Kick, he still enjoys a slightly larger average viewership on Twitch.
Compared to the USA, Canada exhibits a much more top heavy collection of streamers for this top 10 ranking. Excluding xQc and shroud, who are two of the most famous names in live streaming, the other Canadian creators here received much lower viewership than their American neighbours. Nevertheless, many of the creators on this ranking are still growing and enjoyed a positive dynamic for their January viewership.
Most Watched Streamers from the UK and Ireland
Moving across the pond, the most watched creators from the UK and Ireland were entirely representative of the UK. Many of Ireland’s most popular content creators are more focused on video creation rather than live streaming, and others have taken a step back from streaming in recent times. Caedrel, the former League of Legends professional player and current content creator and esports caster, was the most watched creator from the UK, generating 4.37M Hours Watched throughout January.
This ranking continued the trend we can observe in our USA and Canada rankings. In English-speaking regions, Twitch is the dominant platform, but Kick still includes one or two creators within the top 10 streamers of the region. As 2024 progresses, we may see more and more Kick-based creators appear within these rankings. Kick recently officially launched their Creator Incentive Program to the public for applications, which may be critical for the platform to draw more creators to the platform.
Most Watched Streamers from Germany
Over in mainland Europe, Eliasn97 was the most-watched creator from Germany. Elias was also one of the most-watched global creators for January on Twitch, and he achieved this through his special events, challenge streams, and collaborations. Elias saw a 223% increase in his watch time for January; although he is maybe not the most famous streamer from the region, he ranked at the top thanks to his hard work throughout the month.
As we move away from English-speaking regions and explore the rest of the Western sphere, we can see Kick disappear from these rankings. In fact, no Kick creator ranked within the top 50 most-watched German streamers for January. Although Kick is emerging as an important platform and community for the live streaming industry, it still has to break into mainland Europe.
Most Watched Streamers from France
Germany’s next-door neighbour France enjoyed a hugely successful month in live streaming. Kamet0 was the most-watched streamer of the month, far ahead of his competition and almost doubling the viewership of the next-most-watched channel. Once again of note here, no Kick creators ranked highly within the French community.
Although the French community received fewer Hours Watched than its German counterpart, the community enjoyed significant growth. Every single streamer within this top 10 increased their watch time compared to the previous month, and on average these top 10 streamers increased their viewership by over 100% compared to December of last year.
Most Watched Streamers from Spain

Ibai was unsurprisingly the most-watched Spanish creator of January. Ibai is likely the most famous creator on these rankings, with over 15M Twitch Followers to his name. The Spanish streamer has been taking a step back from live streaming, preferring to focus on his various other endeavours such as his esports teams and the Kings League.
The Spanish community on Twitch represents a wide variety of creators in various areas. From football-centric gamers to Minecraft and Just Chatting enthusiasts, the Spanish-speaking sphere of live streaming is wide-reaching and offers a little bit of something for everyone.
Most Watched Streamers from Europe
Looking to Europe as a whole rather than singular country’s, Eliasn97 remains on top joined by Spanish streamer ibai. In this ranking, we can identify the three powerhouses of European live streaming: Germany, Spain, and France. Excluding these three countries, only one other region was represented in this ranking: Finland.
Finnish Kick streamer pottukoiralive ranked within this top 10, largely due to his high Airtime. The Finnish streamer was live more often than anyone else and also featured the lowest Average Viewers figure on this ranking. Nevertheless, the Finnish creator did hugely increase his viewership for January, but his audience size cannot compete with the French, German, and Spanish communities.
Most Watched Streamers from Latin America
Looking towards the other side of the Spanish-speaking community, the Latin American live streaming community is largely dominated by the non-Spanish-speakers, the Brazilians. Although Spanish-speaking Latin Americans are very popular and receive high watch time, the most popular creators of the region are Brazilians.
CazéTV was by far the most popular creator from Latin America, thanks to his football coverage broadcasts. Otherwise known as Casimiro, the Brazilian streamer is well known for his football content, and his YouTube broadcasts are some of the most-watched broadcasts in the world. Behind him was Gaules, the Counter-Strike community creator who is the most famous community caster in the entire Counter-Strike scene.
Whether football or Counter-Strike, the Brazilian community is driven by a fierce and loyal viewership, who show up in droves to support their local teams and their favourite creators.
Most Watched Streamers from Thailand
On the other side of the glove entirely, Twitch and YouTube Gaming are the preferred live streaming platforms in Thailand. HEARTROCKER was the most-watched of these creators, generating 837K Hours Watched. The Thai YouTube-based streamer has more than 8M YouTube Subscribers, which helps him to generate high viewership for his live streams when he does go live.
Apart from this top creator, the ranking was dominated by Twitch streamers. Thailand is one of the rare Asian countries that still sees high viewership for Twitch, whereas many other countries in the region prefer other platforms.
Most Watched Streamers from Vietnam
In Vietnam, the ranking highlights a platform we have not yet seen in this article, NimoTV. NimoTV is the global operation of Huya Live, a Chinese live streaming service. Chinese live streaming services are planning to expand their operations in 2024 and reach a more international audience. As it currently stands, the platform is largely only popular in Vietnam, although they do have a minor MENA audience which they are planning to focus on expanding this year.
In Vietnam, the dominant category is by far Grand Theft Auto V. There is a huge international audience for GTA V role-playing and general gameplay, and this was the same in Vietnam. One trend to note, streamers who are based on NimoTV generally saw a drop in viewership for January, whereas their YouTube Gaming counterparts enjoyed growth and an increase in viewership for the same month.
Most Watched Streamers from the Phillippines
In the Philippines, Twitch returns as the dominant platform for the region. Kukudota2, a Dota 2 streamer and community caster for esports matches, was the most-watched creator of the region with 498K Hours Watched for the month. Dota 2 was critical for this region, with all of the top 4 creators on this ranking generating the majority of their watch time thanks to the MOBA title.
Apart from this, we saw a reflection of the general live streaming industry as a whole. League of Legends was present in this ranking alongside GTA V and other popular live streaming titles like Minecraft. The Phillippines also featured one of the first VTubers we have seen in this ranking so far, deme.
Most Watched Streamers from Indonesia
For the final region of this article, we look to Indonesia. Indonesia was dominated by YouTube Gaming streamers, and also by the mobile gaming title Mobiel Legends: Bang Bang. Indonesia is a critical region for the mobile MOBA title, alongside other Southeast Asian countries, and 70% of these top 10 creators generated a majority of their watch time thanks to it.
Windah Basudara was by far the most-watched creator of the region, enjoying success on YouTube Gaming thanks to his 12M+ Subscribers on YouTube. YouTube Live presents a unique opportunity for streamers to directly turn their existing subscribers into a live streaming audience, whereas moving to another live streaming platform can present challenges with bringing your audience along with you.
