Spanish-speaking creators make up one of the fastest-growing and strongest sections of the live streaming community. The Latin American community is tight-knit and often hosts some of the most watched collaborative events of the year. For this 2023 streaming results piece, we will cover the most watched Latin American streamers of 2023, diving into the Spanish-speaking community and seeing which creators are the most popular of the year.

Brazilian creators are excluded from this ranking, as we have already prepared a piece entirely dedicated to creators from Brazil. If you are curious about which creators are dominating the Portuguese-language part of the live streaming sector, read our top Brazilian streamers and channels of 2023 piece.

For this piece, we make a distinction between live streamers and organisation channels. Organisations generate millions of hours of watch time through live streaming, with many of them streaming almost 24/7 throughout the entire year.

Most watched Latin American streamers in 2023, excluding Brazil

Starting off the list with an interesting stand-out, the most watched Latin American streamer of 2023 was Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. The Mexican President utilises live streaming to broadcast political events and ensure he connects with his entire population, including the younger generations which prefer live streaming over traditional television broadcasts. In 2023, AMLO generated 49.08M Hours Watched through his YouTube Live channel, far more than any other streamer in the year.

The first typical streamer of this ranking is ElSpreen in second place. The Argentine creator is routinely not only one of the most watched Spanish-speaking creators in the industry but one of the most watched creators in general. ElSpreen received 35.14M Hours Watched in 2023, largely thanks to his typical Minecraft and Just Chatting content on Twitch. The Twitch streamer streamed less in 2023 compared to previous years, but the Argentine’s growing popularity was significant enough that he was still the second-most watched creator of the year.

In third was westcol, who was also the first Kick streamer of our ranking. Westcol moved to Kick during the first half of 2023 and found success on the upcoming platform. The Colombian streamer generated 28.92M Hours Watched across three separate platforms: Kick, Twitch, and Trovo. Westcol streamed on Trovo for a comparatively short amount of time in 2023, with the vast majority of his total watch time coming from Kick and some from Twitch. The Colombian was also by far the most popular streamer of this ranking according to singular peak viewership, having reached over 806K Peak Viewers during his special Stream Fighters 2 broadcast.

Just outside of the top three was ElMariana with 28.89M Hours Watched. Similar to ElSpreen, the Mexican Twitch streamer generated most of his watch time through Just Chatting and Minecraft broadcasts, although ElMariana also dipped his toes into Warzone and ROBLOX: ElMariana actually recorded much less watch time than last year and was live for fewer hours this year, but despite all this he still managed to be the third-most watched Latin American creator of the year.

In fourth, another Mexican creator, was rivers_gg. Rivers has had a momentous 2023, recording 22.45M Hours Watched which marks a 78% increase compared to last year. Thanks to a variety of collaborative events in 2023, including the Queens League, Rivers’ popularity skyrocketed in 2023 and she gained millions of Followers on Twitch. Rivers was the only female creator to land in the top 10 Latin American creators of the year, and she will continue to be the most prevalent female creator from this region for a long time.

Moving down the ranking, Roier earned 19.88M Hours Watched, having made the leap to Twitch streaming this year. Roier is an established content creator on YouTube, with over 2.5M Subscribers on the red platform, and in 2023 he made a concerted effort to grow his Twitch following and broadcast more. He was rewarded with one of the most successful years of streaming in the Latin American sphere, and he will likely climb up this ranking next year.

The remaining streamers of this ranking are divided into two sets: variety streamers and football-focused creators. Juansguarnizo and aldo_geo are two popular variety streamers and they achieved 19.57M and 11.14M Hours Watched, respectively. LACOBRAAA and davooxeneize are the football creators of this list, making a place for themselves in the ever-evolving live streaming industry.

Taking a deeper look at Mexican creators this year, we have already seen half of these streamers in the overall top 10. A large proportion of the most popular Latin American streamers come from Mexico, with the country generating hundreds of million Hours Watched.

Elded was the sixth-most watched creator from Mexico, with 8.94M Hours Watched accumulated throughout the year. The streamer, who is signed to Luminosity Gaming as a Fortnite player, was popular among fans with his variety gaming content, although his Fortnite content was particularly well received by viewers.

Next up was QuackityToo with 8.18M Hours Watched. The channel is the secondary Twitch channel for popular creator Quackity, who is most well known for his Minecraft content on YouTube. The Mexican creator has a large fanbase of both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking viewers, and his secondary channel is a place for his Spanish-speaking content.

The YouTube Live channel of Mexican comedian Franco Escamilla received 6.61M Hours Watched and MYM_ALKAPONE was close behind him, with 6.6M HW accumulated throughout the year. Last but not least, vickypalami finished up these rankings with her 5.96M Hours Watched, becoming the second female creator of this exclusively Mexican ranking.

Most watched Argentinian streamers in 2023

The top 3 of this ranking are some creators we have already seen in this piece, but Brunenger in fourth is a new face. The Argentinian streamer received roughly half of his watch time from Twitch and the other half from Kick in 2023, making him the second streamer we looked at here to have jumped from one platform to another half way through the year.

Behind Brunenger was Flavio Azzaro with 7.58M Hours Watched. Flavio is a journalist and television host who transitioned to live streaming in recent times. The podcast style of content he employs is further proof that the live streaming industry is open to all kinds of content and not restricted to purely gaming related content.

Behind Flavio follows a flurry of variety gaming streamers on Twitch. Goncho, AgustinUnaplay8, and Robleis all fell just short of 7M HW, having achieved 6.96M, 6.81M, and 6.65M Hours Watched, respectively.

Coscu is a name well established in the LATAM live streaming industry, with a large following of 3.87M Followers on Twitch the creator achieved 5.48M Hours Watched in 2023. A large portion of this came from an awards show that coscu hosted on his Twitch channel, which generated almost half a million HW alone in a single night.

Last on this ranking was Carreraaa, who reached 5.34M Hours Watched mostly thanks to his broadcasts on Twitch in the Just Chatting section. Like most other variety gaming streamers of this year, he also dipped his toes into Minecraft and other trending games.

Most watched Organisation channels of Latin America in 2023

Most watched Organisation channels of Latin America in 2023

As AMLO has proven, live streaming is not only for passionate individuals but also a place for organisations and companies to diversify their audience and maximise their reach. Some of these companies simply are news networks which are entering the online sector, but others are creating kid-friendly content, or moving their radio station onto YouTube Live.

Interestingly, the vast majority of these top-performing organisation channels originated from Argentina. Only Noticias Caracol and MULTIMEDIOS were not Argentine on this ranking, with these two originating from Colombia and Mexico, respectively. The most watched of these organisations was Todo Noticias, which generated over 234M Hours Watched alone during the year. Organisation channels are wildly successful in generating viewership online, with Spanish-language channels having accumulated billions of Hours Watched in 2023 according to our database.
