In mid-August, Vietnamese streamers SBTC Clear and SBTC Kit experienced a monstrous jump in viewership that launched them to the top of NimoTV. Currently according to our statistics, SBTC Clear ranks as the most popular streamer of the August and Kit is close behind him in third. In the month prior, Clear ranked in 17th and Kit only in 28th.
Not only is it a huge achievement on its own merit, but to overthrow MixiGaming is another matter. MixiGaming is a Vietnamese streamer and by far the largest creator for NimoTV and is unaccustomed to not being the top-ranking streamer for the week. Across the entirety of 2023 so far, MixiGaming has accumulated 108.2M hours of watch time with 155.1K Average Viewers. Compare this to Clear’s 12.8M Hours Watched and 14.7K Average Viewers, or in Kit’s case 9.3M Hours Watched and 11.4K Average Viewers. How did they manage to overthrow MixiGaming, who is usually ten times larger than them?
A few days before going live to hit their new records, Kit and Clear both took to Facebook to announce a promotional stream for the game Call of Dragons, an MMO conquest game with mobile and PC crossplay. In their announcement posts, both Kit and Clear stated that the game released on August 18th and linked to a NimoTV article for more information. Unfortunately, this article link no longer functions and we have been unable to confirm this information, as seemingly no official social media from Call of Dragons nor NimoTV announced this collaboration.
Throughout the month of July, Misthy received just under 7K Average Viewers for each stream and collected 604K hours of watch time over 28 streams. On the 18th of June, Misthy went live for just an hour and fifteen minutes and received 170.7K hours of watch time: more than 25% of her total watch time for July. Within five minutes of starting her stream, she had already reached personal record levels of concurrent viewers, and eventually, viewership reached its climax with 165.6K Peak Viewers. Curiously, this was her shortest stream in well over a month.
Viewership statistics for Clear and Kit’s promotional streams

Stream dynamics for both SBTC Clear and SBTC Kit
Looking at the viewership statistics and dynamics for the two streamers tied to SBTC, viewership was explosive. Within half an hour of starting the stream, they were both reaching close to 300K concurrent viewers. For reference, prior to these streams, Kit’s Peak Viewers personal record was 41.2K and Clear’s was 40.1K. Usually, birthday streams are highly popular, especially among VTubers, and yet Kit’s birthday stream on the 18th of August peaked at only 21.5K concurrent viewers: about 6% of what he achieved a day later.
Did this viewership continue for either streamer in the following days? Not exactly. Kit immediately returned to his normal viewership, receiving roughly 10K Average Viewers per stream. A stark contrast compared to the 243.6K average concurrent viewers who were watching his previous stream.
Not to minimise the huge viewership achievements reached by both streamers, but Streams Charts has been unable to officially confirm exactly how this viewership was reached. As mentioned earlier, the exact details and links of the social media posts for the promotional streams do not work and we were unable to find other official posts detailing this promotion. It may be that this viewership was achieved through a promotion by Nimo.TV and/or Call of Dragons, but this is not something we can confirm at the moment.
Promotional streams boosting peak concurrent viewers to another level are not something Nimo.TV is unfamiliar with. In 2021, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship reached 3.8M peak concurrent viewers with the help of Nimo.TV’s in-game broadcast bringing in millions of viewers. However, the case with Kit and Clear remains unique. The streamers experienced viewership boosts after the sponsored section of their broadcast ended, and viewership was high in their following streams later. If this viewership was due to an in-game promotional broadcast, we would expect viewership to drop immediately after the sponsored section ends.
At the end of last week, Streams Charts reached out to both Clear and Kit on multiple channels to ask for some information on this viewership and their sponsorship with Call of Dragon. We also reached out to NimoTV management, but sadly we did not receive a reply from NimoTV, Kit, or Clear. If any answer is sent to us, we will update this article to include the comment.
As of the 24th of August, neither Clear, Kit, nor Misthy have taken to social media to publicly celebrate their recent viewership. It’s unclear if Clear or Kit will ever return to the levels of viewership they experienced, and it’s not exactly clear exactly why they received the levels of viewership they did. Nevertheless, they can enjoy the feeling of being the top two-ranked streamers on NimoTV for a short while.
