The editors of Streams Charts have compiled a list of the most viewed ads on Twitch among German streamers in Q3 2022. Read on to find out which channels have the largest audience and which brands have sponsored them.
We analyzed all streams on Twitch during the specified time period, the titles of which featured ad tags like "ad" or "sponsored", as well as brand names. At the same time, we excluded gambling broadcasts belonging to the Slots category from the ranking.
When compiling the top, we took into account only the single most popular broadcast from each particular channel. This was done so that the ranking would not consist of different broadcasts of a single streamer, but instead covered a larger number of content creators.
The quarterly ranking was topped by the streamer HAAZEED. He held a two-day marathon on August 6-8, during which he communicated with the audience, played GTA V, as well as… simply slept. This broadcast generated 54.7K Hours Watched, and gathered 1.1K Average Viewers and 2.5K Peak Viewers. The broadcast was sponsored by HOLY and NordVPN, the former a manufacturer of instant energy drinks and the latter a VPN service provider.
The second most watched streamer was Team Liquid’s qojqva with his Dota 2 broadcasts. In August, he held a series of advertising streams during which he watched the matches of PGL Arlington Major 2022. These broadcasts were sponsored by Displate, a company that creates posters and photographs on various topics (games, movies, anime, etc.). On August 7, the broadcast of qojqva generated 49.9K Hours Watched. It also gathered 5.7K Average Viewers, which is the highest indicator among the ranking’s top 5. Qojqva also took the lead by the number of unique authorized viewers and the number of active chatters. By the way, he is the only German streamer that broadcasted in English, rather than German.
The third spot in the ranking was taken by MasterTay with an advertising broadcast on August 3-4. The streamer ran a 26-hour marathon, during which he communicated with the audience, played GTA V and horror games. In total, this broadcast generated 43.4K Hours Watched. The stream of MasterTay gathered 7.5K unique authorized viewers and more than 1.6K active chatters. This way he achieved the highest ratio of audience involvement among the ranking’s top 5 — 22%. The partners of this stream were HI-TECH and Fesky: the first sells top gaming computers, and the second manufactures instant energy drinks.
German streamer unsympathisch_tv took the fourth spot in the ranking. On September 4, he hosted a promotional broadcast during which he played Fall Guys, Fortnite, Valorant, PUBG, and more. He also chatted, watched entertaining videos, and participated in intellectual quizzes. The partner of his stream was LevlUp, a company that sells instant energy drinks. During the advertising stream, the channel generated more than 34.6K Hours Watched. Unsympathisch_tv also took the lead in the ranking by Peak Viewers, reaching the mark of 9.7K. However, the last result was significantly affected by the host from Eliasn97 with 23.7K viewers.
Closing the top 5 is the streamer Heideltraut. On July 25, he hosted a 16-hour stream during which he played GTA V and Rainbow Six Siege. The broadcast partner was LuckyV, a German RP server for GTA V. The stream generated 23.6K Hours Watched. Note that of all the participants in the ranking, Heideltraut’s viewers were the most “silent”, that is, they showed little activity in the chat.

Companies big and small constantly partner with streamers to advertise their products. Showing the most activity here are endemic brands, whose target audience is gamers and young people in general. Deserving a separate note among the advertisers in this ranking are several manufacturers of energy drinks at once. These companies position their products as a healthier and more effective replacement for classic energy drinks. In advertising, they also emphasize that their drinks allegedly help improve attention and reaction, which favorably affects gaming skills.
