Kick continued its rapid growth throughout August 2025, setting a new concurrent viewership record for the entire platform at over 2,550,000 Peak Viewers (PV). Kick’s expansion across the globe shows no signs of slowing down, and on top of its recent achievement, the platform also recorded its highest results in more than two years in additional metrics.
The past few months have seen Kick record after record for itself. In July, the platform reached a new highest watch time, more than doubling its viewership compared to the early months of 2025. August was no different, and although the platform struggled to replicate the record-breaking watch time of last month, it still posted a viewership far higher than it has usually achieved in the past. Kick’s trajectory is noticeably dissimilar to Twitch’s, which suffered through a statistically-weak August.
For August, Kick’s activity increased dramatically across most metrics. While Hours Watched and Average Viewers did mark slight decreases compared to last month, July was a record-breaking month for both these metrics and saw them both increase by over 40% previously. Kick’s ability to almost replicate these explosive heights highlights its strong position in the livestreaming industry at the moment.
Kick’s 2,556,123 Peak Viewers marked a new record for the platform, and by a significant margin too. This surge in viewers was enabled by a new streamer-created boxing event, which accounted for more than half of the total peak. This kind of event was popularized by Spanish creator Ibai “ibai” Llanos, but Peru’s Andy Dante “ElZeein” Merino Ramirez is the newest to try the format with his La Noche Dorada — more details on this below.
In terms of the total channels broadcasting across Kick, activity increased dramatically as new creators joined the fray and established ones began experimenting with multistreaming to Kick. August saw Kick reach its highest Active Channels and Peak Channels in more than two years, and it also set a brand-new record for the Average Channels metric, far outperforming July, which previously held the record here.
Action, IRL, and Shooter content continued to take up the podium spots on Kick, with these broad categories dealing with a diverse range of content and games. Although these genres remained on top, they all recorded slight viewership decreases. In fact, only the lower-ranked genres showed improvements month-on-month: specifically, Strategy, Mobile, RPG, and Simulator.
Diving deeper than genres, Just Chatting and GTA V continued to top our rankings for Kick. These categories are trademarks of not only Kick, but the wider livestreaming industry as a whole, and their popularity is still a step ahead of the competition.
For competitive gaming titles, League of Legends and Counter-Strike 2 recorded slight increases in viewership compared to last month. Kick has been making concerted efforts to expand further into esports broadcasting, and coverage of various esports events helped these titles to grow their viewership on the platform. The Special Events category also moved up into the final spot here, boosted by ElZeein’s massively successful La Noche Dorada.
Sitting at the top of our rankings, ElZeein enjoyed more than 9,000,000 Hours Watched throughout August. The Peruvian creator received 65.8% of his total viewership for the month during a single stream, his new La Noche Dorada event. On top of this, ElZeein also enjoyed more than 1,359,000 Peak Viewers on his Kick channel during this event, making him the second-most popular Kick streamer ever, falling just behind Colombia’s Luis Fernando “WestCol” Villa Álvarez and his own boxing event.
Speaking of WestCol, the Colombian appeared further down the watch time ranking, but did record over half-a-million concurrent viewers while competing in another media boxing event, the Supernova Strikers. Hosted in Mexico, WestCol appeared at the event to fight against Mexican singer Mario Bautista, and although he lost the fight in the second round by T.K.O, his stream for the day was a massive success. In terms of Average Viewers, WestCol remains a top performer for Kick.
Stiven “MrStivenTc” Tangarife also recorded a noticeable increase in viewership for the month, bolstered by the presence of Maria Julissa, a fellow content creator and his partner. The two hosted various IRL streams and content together throughout the end of August. From cooking together to getting fresh tattoos live on stream, these two hosted some of MrStivenTc’s most popular content ever.
Looking towards the top female streamers of August, every single top creator in our ranking is a Spanish-language creator; Kick’s expansion to Latin America has paid dividends for the platform, which has become a new standard for many viewers in the region.
Fashion and beauty creator Milenka “milenkanolasco” Nolasco claimed the top spot for August, overthrowing the usually dominant Alondra “alondrissa” Michelle. Milenka received strong viewership in particular for her special opening stream for her new nightclub; she wasn’t the only entrepreneur in our ranking, Daniela “danielataquire” Taquire also received some of her strongest viewership ever while opening her own ‘danishop’.
Aside from these grand-opening streams, other top female creators also attended some of the various boxing events throughout the month, receiving high viewership for this, while others achieved their success with consistent streams in either IRL or the Just Chatting category.
