PSG vs Inter in livestreaming — top channels and viewership statistics of the UEFA Champions League Final

PSG vs Inter in livestreaming — top channels and viewership statistics of the UEFA Champions League Final

The livestream viewership stats for the UCL final have been updated to include more channels and detailed data. The new figures now cover the duration of the match itself, plus one hour before kickoff (pre-show) and one hour after the final whistle (award ceremony). All figures in the infographic have been revised accordingly.

This past weekend, soccer fans around the world tuned in for the UEFA Champions League final — the highlight of the season. While the showdown between France’s PSG and Italy’s Inter lacked suspense, it still drew the attention of popular streamers and their audiences. Streams Charts took a closer look at how the match was covered across livestreaming platforms and how PSG’s dominant win impacted the online buzz around both teams.

To begin with, the Champions League final was officially broadcast only on TV networks that held the rights to air the match. The game itself wasn’t shown on livestreaming platforms like Twitch or YouTube, but there was no shortage of related content — radio-style commentaries, watch parties, IRL streams from the stadium, and studio discussions featuring analysts. Many streamers also offered their play-by-play commentary and shared their live reactions with viewers as the match unfolded.

Overall livestreaming stats of the UEFA Champions League Final

The PSG vs. Inter match was covered by roughly 3,500 unique livestreaming channels, generating over 2.66 million hours of watch time (HW). Peak viewership across all platforms reached 923,312 concurrent viewers — a relatively modest number for a major sporting event, especially one of this caliber. For comparison, just a week earlier, popular Brazilian sports streamer Casimiro ‘’CazéTV’’ Miguel drew over 1.65 million viewers during the UEFA Conference League final between Real Betis and Chelsea. Before that, his stream of the Europa League final between Tottenham and Manchester United peaked at 1,453,853 viewers. Interestingly, CazéTV didn’t cover the Champions League final at all, even though he streamed other matches that same day.

Obtaining the rights to broadcast the season’s biggest match is both challenging and costly. Even the official PSG and Inter channels on Twitch and YouTube only streamed related content on game day, such as stadium tours, interviews with players and fans, expert analysis, and the award ceremony.

Channels from several countries covered the Champions League final between PSG and Inter, with Brazil is leading in channel count. About one in every seven channels streaming the match was Brazilian — 15.9% of the total count; the U.S. and France rounded out the top three countries by number of streaming channels.

English-language broadcasts also topped the charts in total watch time. Combined, streams in English generated over 816,000 HW, making up 30.6% of the total watch hours. Portuguese streams came in second with 22.5%, while Spanish streams accounted for just 18.9%.

Most popular channels of the UEFA Champions League Final

The most-watched channel covering the final was TNT Sports Brasil YouTube channel, which racked up over 411,200 HW time during its pre-match and live coverage broadcast on May 31. Coming in second was the channel of popular American YouTuber Darren ''IShowSpeed'' Watkins Jr, who flew to Munich for the Champions League final and streamed straight from the Allianz Arena. He chatted with fans and players, appeared as a guest on the pre-match show, and shared his reactions to the goals with his audience.

Other streamers who made the top list include Argentine creator David “davooxeneize” Quint and American streamer Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart. Interestingly, Stewart typically isn’t into football — he usually spends nearly all his free time streaming Rainbow Six.

In terms of peak concurrent viewership, TNT Sports Brasil once again claimed the top spot, drawing an impressive 243,255 viewers during the match. Right behind was IShowSpeed, whose stream peaked at 146,281 viewers. For more details about this broadcast and Speed’s coverage of the game, check out our full article.

Interestingly, Kamel ‘’Kameto’’ Kebir — a popular French streamer and owner of the esports team Karmine Corp — jumped in to cover the match as well. He kicked off his stream right after the final, celebrating PSG’s win alongside fellow fans while roaming the city streets at night.

Mention dynamics of the UEFA Champions League Finalists

In addition to overall livestream stats, Streams Charts analysts monitored how Twitch users talked about PSG and Inter during the week before the final. During that period, Inter was mentioned, on average, 20-30% more in Twitch chats than PSG. Some days this gap grew even bigger, like May 23 when Inter faced Como 1907 in their last Serie A match. Although Inter won, they fell short of catching Napoli in the standings and ultimately lost the Italian league title.

The day before the Champions League final, the conversation shifted. On May 30, PSG pulled ahead with more mentions on Twitch than Inter; the French club was mentioned about 4,600 times in chats, compared to 4,000 for Inter.

Then, on match day, May 31, mentions soared nearly tenfold. Amazon’s streaming platform logged 45,200 messages referencing the French club, while the Italian team received around 39,500 mentions. Twitch users were highly engaged, actively discussing the game throughout the platform’s chat channels.

The context of the messages is hard to overlook. During the match, words like “win” and “won” frequently appeared alongside mentions of PSG, while mentions of Inter were often paired with profanity. Viewers also actively debated PSG players’ chances of taking home the Ballon d’Or. Notably, PSG forward Ousmane Dembélé is among the top contenders for the 2025 Ballon d’Or. Whether he claims the award will be revealed on September 22 at the official ceremony.
