The Ballon d’Or is soccer’s most prestigious individual award, so it’s no surprise the recent ceremony drew massive global media coverage. Livestreaming played a big role too — news outlets simulcasted the event, radio stations covered it live, and top streamers hosted watch parties with their communities. According to Streams Charts, Ballon d’Or 2025 streams hit a combined peak of over 7.1 million concurrent viewers.

On the streaming side, creators like Mario Alfonso “DjMaRiiO” Garrido, Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr, Elias “eliasn97” Nerlich, Lautaro “lacobraaa” del Campo, and others pulled in huge audiences.
YouTube was the dominant platform for Ballon d’Or 2025 coverage, accounting for over 90% of total watch hours. Twitch and Kick shared the remaining share.
