Tfue’s second Fortnite tournament in collaboration with entertaining platform BoomTV ended a few days ago. MrSavage’s team took the crown with 538 points, winning the biggest chunk of the $100,000 prize pool. Which place did Tfue’s squad take? And how popular was the event among Fortnite fans? Find out below.
Tfue Tuesday results
Called the Tfue Tuesday Most Wanted featuring Fortnite vol.2, this was the second Fortnite event BoomTV and Tfuel have organized together. The first volume also had a prize pool of $100,000 and was held on February 7 this year. There were no pre-built teams. Instead, interested Fortnite players could ask for an invite to the event. On game day, 23 teams of four players participated in the Tfue Tuesday vol.1. Every team played ten Fortnite games, receiving points based on their placement in each. In the end, clix, with his teammates, ItsKwanti, Risezd, and Eomzo, came out on top with a total of 892 points. Just slightly lower in second place was Tfue’s squad with 880 points. The final spot on the podium took NickEh30’s team.
However, in the Tfue Tuesday vl.2 on February 14, the cards were shuffled differently. This time, only 21 teams battled to get their hands on the prize pool. Moreover, MrSavage, KamiFN1, japko4, and pkr29 scored 1,076 points, denying clix his second victory. He, instead, barely made it into the top 10. Similarly, scoped’s team took away second place from Tfue. Tfue’s squad only made third place with 1,036 points.
Tfue Tuesday vol. 2 with lower viewership numbers
Most of Tfue Tuesday vol.2’s viewers tuned into Tfue’s stream. The streamer accounted for 70,000 of the event’s total HW. Out of the 78 channels broadcasting, the tournament clix was the second most-watched at 44,000 HW. But you might wonder if the second Fortnite collab between BoomTV and Tfuel managed to live up to the hype of the first. The simple answer is no. Although both tournaments had almost equal Airtime, the second iteration only accumulated about 270,000 Hours Watched. This is less than half of Tfue Tuesday vol.1’s HW. The trend is similar regarding Peak Viewers and Average Viewers. For example, vol.1 peaked at over 154,000 viewers, while vol.2 attracted slightly less than 58,000 PV.
However, this drop in viewership isn’t surprising. After all, the Tfue Tuesday vol.1 featured some of the biggest streamer legends. TimTheThatman, DrDisrespect, and Ninja were part of the event, forming a team with CouRage. Despite being eliminated from the tournament within less than 60 minutes, the team pulled in most of Tfue Tuesday’s viewers. Of 81 channels, DrDisrespect’s broadcast had the highest Peak and Average Viewers during the tournament. On average, 29,000 fans followed his stream, which peaked at 31,000 viewers. This made his channel the fourth most-watched one of the event, slightly below that of Tfue. Most impressively, TimTheTatman attracted most of Tfue Tuesday vol.1’s viewers. His stream accounted for 88,000 of the event’s total Hours Watched.
BoomTV doesn’t just hold Fortnite tournaments
BoomTV has hosted various events in the past, including different content creators and games. For example, the organizer’s last project before the Tfue series was a Minecraft event: the Skyblock Showdown presented by Verizon and Xbox. Other games featured in BoomTV’s portfolio include Sae of Thieves, Halo, and Valorant. The company is also home to the Code Red franchise, a series of Apex Legends tournaments. Its latest edition, the Code Red: National Guard, attracted over 92,000 Peak Viewers.
However, BoomTV’s most successful events were the BoomTV Cash App Games in Warzone and the Kaysan’s MWII Halloween Showdown in Call of Duty. The former leads in Hours Watched at 1.1 million, whereas the latter reached the highest peak viewership with slightly more than 340,000 Peak Viewers.
With such an event portfolio, BoomTV has established itself as a reputable organizer among creators and brands. The Tfue Tuesday Most Wanted vol.2 is yet another successful tournament completed. Although lower in viewership than its predecessor, it provided high-quality entertainment for Fortnite and Tfue fans alike. Perhaps we’ll see another Tfue x BoomTV collaboration in the future.
