One of the biggest sports entertainment events of the year took place this past weekend in Las Vegas. WrestleMania 41, also promoted as WrestleMania Vegas, was held on April 19-20 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. The event featured John Cena’s final match in the WrestleMania series and drew not only tens of thousands of in-person attendees, but also a substantial online audience through pay-per-view and livestreams.
Streams Charts takes a closer look at the viewership statistics from free broadcasts and reaction streams and reveals which wrestlers sparked the most online buzz.
WrestleMania is WWE’s flagship annual event — and in 2025, it took place over Easter weekend for the very first time. Las Vegas played host to the spectacle for only the second time in the event’s history. This year also marked the debut of Netflix as a livestreaming partner, following a landmark 10-year deal with WWE signed earlier in the year. The show delivered no shortage of drama and surprises, including CM Punk’s first appearance in 12 years.
Across two nights, WrestleMania 41 featured a total of 14 matches, culminating in a headline showdown between two WWE legends: Cody Rhodes and John Cena. With Cena set to retire at the end of the year, the match was billed as his final WrestleMania appearance. Much to the delight of fans, Cena defeated Rhodes by pinfall and claimed the Undisputed WWE Championship for a record 17th time, a fitting sendoff for one of wrestling’s all-time greats.
WrestleMania 41 livestream viewership
The main event of WrestleMania wasn’t available for free online, but there was still plenty of content surrounding it that was streamed openly and accessible to all: pre-show coverage, post-match interviews, and various other segments. Among these was the annual WWE Hall of Fame show, which drew the highest peak audience across all channels covering WrestleMania 41, reaching over 130,000 concurrent viewers on WWE’s main channel.
Across both days, the event was covered (through official broadcasts and watch parties) by over 4,100 channels across a wide range of platforms. These included global giants like YouTube Live and Twitch, as well as regional platforms such as SOOP (former AfreecaTV), which carried the official stream for the Korean audience.

WrestleMania 41 content was also available on the Chinese livestreaming platform Huya. While the service does not publicly disclose viewership numbers, its internal Heat Index metric suggests the stream wasn’t particularly popular among local audiences: it didn’t make it into the platform’s top 5,000 channels by overall engagement during the weekend.
Among content creators, the largest audience over the weekend was drawn by Canadian influencer Santiago “SantiZap” Zapata, known for his gaming and wrestling-focused streams. His channel peaked at over 12,000 concurrent viewers during the event.
In terms of overall numbers, streams surrounding WrestleMania 41 accumulated over 950,000 Hours Watched (HW) throughout the weekend. While that figure may not seem groundbreaking at first glance, it's quite solid considering the high number of smaller streams included in the total and the fact that the main event itself wasn’t available for free viewing.
WrestleMania 2025 featured numerous known fighters over the course of its two weekends, and at Streams Charts, we decided to take a closer look at who was being discussed the most by Twitch viewers, one of the main platforms hosting event watch parties.
Overall, there were no major surprises: viewers were most active in discussing the main event and its participants. As expected, John Cena significantly outpaced Cody Rhodes and the other fighters. CM Punk’s return to the WrestleMania ring was also a hot topic of discussion. Interestingly, Logan Paul rounded out the top five: he too had a match, defeating AJ Styles by pinfall.
WrestleMania 41 proved to be a monumental event, capturing the attention of fans not only in the U.S. but worldwide. Even without free access to the main event, the massive engagement from both viewers and content creators across platforms demonstrates the event's immense global appeal.
