The French esports organization Karmine Corp has once again solidified its position as one of the most popular teams in Europe. Recently, Karmine and its owner, the popular French streamer Kamel "kamet0" Kebir, hosted a massive event in Paris, KCX4: Forever Rivals. The event drew tens of thousands of fans to the Paris La Défense Arena, with another 174,000 concurrent viewers tuning in on the live stream.
KCX is a signature event series organized by Karmine Corp, which the team has been hosting regularly since 2022. Originally, KCX was all about show matches where Karmine’s teams faced off against other clubs in games like League of Legends, Valorant, Rocket League, and more. Over time, though, the KCX events have evolved into full-fledged LAN festivals. In addition to the show matches, these events now feature fan activities, sponsor giveaways, player autograph sessions, and big announcements about the club's future.

For KCX4, the club’s owners dropped a few exciting announcements. First up, they unveiled an updated version of the Karmine App, which lets fans not only keep up with the club’s news and tournament results, but also take part in challenges, contests, giveaways, polls, and more.
In another major reveal, Karmine Corp announced a show match against T1, the five-time League of Legends world champions. The match is set to take place on December 15 at the Red Bull League of its Own event. Other big updates included new sponsors and tech partners, a collaboration with Logitech, contract extensions for current players, and the announcement of a new Valorant roster. The club also introduced Caliste, their new bot lane player for the main League of Legends team.

Another big piece of news for Karmine Corp fans was the launch of new youth teams in Valorant and League of Legends. These teams will compete under the Karmine Blue Stars brand in the second divisions of France’s Challengers Revolution and the LFL. The club announced they accept applications from anyone interested through a special sign-up form.
In a surprising but exciting twist, Karmine also revealed a future collaboration with the popular anime franchise Blue Lock. While details are still under wraps, it's been confirmed that the partnership will include a joint merch collection set to drop in 2025.
There were also some bittersweet moments at the event. Karmine Corp officially said goodbye to Saken and Cabochard, two League of Legends players who had been with the organization for several years. The club invited them to KCX4 and gave them a heartfelt tribute on stage at the Paris La Défense Arena, in front of thousands of fans.

The main event at KCX4 was the show match between two esports powerhouses — the French Karmine Corp and the Spanish KOI. This rivalry is one of the biggest and most exciting in European esports (which is why it's called Forever Rivals). Both teams have massive fanbases and plenty of media support from their owners, popular streamers kamet0 and ibai, who were the main drivers behind the event’s coverage on their channels.
The Karmine Corp vs. KOI showdown at KCX4: Forever Rivals wasn’t just about the main teams — it also featured academy teams and women’s rosters. The clubs faced off in three games: Karmine Corp dominated in League of Legends and Rocket League, while in Valorant, each side picked up one series win. KOI's only victory came in the Game Changers match between the female teams.
The League of Legends show matches drew the largest audience, generating 413,500 Hours Watched with a 174,100 Peak Viewers. The French-language broadcast made up nearly 75% of the total viewership, and kamet0’s stream alone peaked at around 130,300 viewers, which was his eighth-highest result of 2024. Overall, most of the event’s audience came from France, and kamet0’s broadcasts outperformed ibai’s across all key metrics.

Compared to previous events, KCX4 saw similar total watch time to KCX3, even though the latter featured a broader lineup of games — including Super Smash Bros. show matches with Karmine Corp players.
For context, KCX3 was titled Karmine Corp vs The World, with Karmine’s teams going up against representatives from various organizations like T1, G2 Esports, LOUD, and more. For KCX4, the focus shifted back to the intense rivalry between Karmine and KOI.
So far, the most popular event in the KCX series was the first friendly match between Karmine Corp and KOI in League of Legends. That series, held in January 2022, peaked at over 345,700 viewers.
