The Kings World Cup Nations 2025 was the first event of 2025 for the media football league. And what a start of the season it was! The World Cup Nations event reached three-and-a-half million concurrent viewers for its final match, breaking records and crowning Team Brazil as the champion.
As we covered in our recap of the Kings League’s total 2024 viewership, the series has been continuing to grow by expanding to new regions, inviting exciting guests, and collaborating with international creators. The Kings World Cup Nations 2025 was the perfect formula to achieve high viewership for the Kings League: a high-stakes event with an eclectic assortment of streamers and celebrities behind each country’s team.

The World Cup Nations 2025 was a significant expansion over the previous year’s World Cup. Instead of hosting teams from across the globe, the Kings League settled on a more traditional one-squad-per-nation system. The countries participating in the Cup represented the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the MENA region, ensuring the event would be watched by a diverse worldwide audience.
The Kings League invited many nation-leading personalities and celebrities in internet culture for each competing country. A good example of this clash of football and livestreaming is Germany’s squad, whose chairpeople include footballer Mario Götze alongside Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller. Each of the invited nations was strongly represented by both content creators and more mainstream celebrities.
Throughout all stages, the tournament maintained an average of one million viewers per match. Team Colombia’s games were particularly popular, having earned 11.29M Hours Watched, or roughly one-third of the event’s total watch time. The Colombian squad amassed viewership thanks to their success on the pitch, having made it all the way to the finals, but also thanks to the support of top Kick streamer, Luis “WestCOL” Villa Álvarez. The Colombian content creator was the third-most-watched broadcaster of the entire event.
Of all broadcasters covering the World Cup, Spanish-language streamers were the strongest performers. Other languages such as Portuguese, largely Brazilian-Portuguese, and Arabic were highly popular, but Spanish-language streamers were larger in numbers and generally broadcasted the event for longer than streamers from other regions.
While Spanish was the strongest demographic in terms of watch time, the same was not true for the peak concurrent viewers metric. Guest stars from other regions, especially Arabic-speaking ones, did not broadcast the entire event, but rather exclusively covered their own team’s games.
Casimiro “Cazé” Miguel was the only broadcaster of the Kings World Cup Nations to reach over 1M concurrent viewers. The Brazilian’s highly popular YouTube Live broadcast ultimately reached 1.19M Peak Viewers for the final between Brazil and Colombia. Cazé was not partnered with the event through a team, but was rather the official Brazilian broadcaster for the entire event; the channel is well-known in Brazil for its football broadcasts, and likely introduced many new viewers to the Kings League brand. Other official broadcast partners included Sky Sports in Italy and ESPN in Latin America.
Aside from the Brazilian peak, Ilyas El Maliki from Morocco was the second-most-popular streamer of the event. The creator is relatively new to Kick, but his loyal audience already helped him reach over 600,000 concurrent viewers for Morocco’s games; as it stands, the top four of Kick’s most popular broadcasts of 2025 all belong to the Moroccan’s Kings League coverage. Ahmed “sxb” Alqahtani of Saudi Arabia was also a highly popular Arabic-speaking streamer for the football event, but his nation was unfortunately eliminated early.
Alexandre "Gaules" Chiqueta was the second Portuguese-speaking streamer to top our rankings, and the final podium finisher. The streamer is generally more well-known for his gaming content, especially Counter-Strike esports, but he still generated a sizeable viewership for Kings League. The final game between Brazil and Colombia became his most popular YouTube Live broadcast ever, although he has reached higher Twitch viewerships for Counter-Strike coverage before.
Speaking of the final between Colombia and Brazil, WestCOL received only 320,640 PV for his coverage. Instead, the semifinal against Morocco was where he enjoyed his highest viewership for the event. Despite a close first half for the game, Colombia were ultimately defeated by Brazil with the score of 6:2, and WestCOL’s viewership was not able to reach a new peak for the final half.
Comparing the recent result of the Kings World Cup Nations 2025 to other football events in livestreaming, it only stands behind top-level international competitions such as the 2024 ASEAN Championship, which recently shattered YouTube records, and the UEFA Euro 2024.

The Kings League was triumphant compared to other football events hosted by content creators, such as the Sidemen Charity Match, or indeed other media leagues, such as the Baller League, GOA7 League, Icon League. The circuit once again proved it is the world’s leading football league of its kind, and that it can still break records and push its limits.
The previous Kings League viewership record was the 2.11M Peak Viewers achieved for the inaugural 2023 Split; the circuit was able to beat this peak reached by early excitement and hype by inviting new nations to the event and tapping into fresh audiences. The recently 3.5M PV achieved at the World Cup Nations is a sizeable step forward for the circuit, which has some major expansions planned for the future.
This milestone not only sets a new high for the Kings League but also highlights the growing appetite for innovative formats in football. The tournament's unique blend of high-stakes competition and accessible streaming options has resonated with audiences worldwide. Throughout 2025, the Kings League will continue to captivate fans worldwide, create some of the most exciting footballing moments of the year in livestreaming, and enchant millions of viewers.
