Latin American streamers on Kick and how the move affected their viewership

Latin American streamers on Kick and how the move affected their viewership

Kick has emerged as one of the fastest-growing live streaming platforms worldwide; the platform guaranteed its growth by signing many top streamers from other services and building up a viewer base for their platform through these deals. In this piece, Streams Charts is looking at some of the most popular Latin American streamers to make the jump to Kick, and how this has impacted their viewership.

As visible on our languages tab for Kick, Spanish has quickly established itself as the platform’s second-largest language behind English. The dynamics for the language also show that these recent months have seen some sizable growth for the language on the platform, partially due to the platform signing deals with these Latin-American content creators.

Colombian creator WestCOL moved to Kick in April of 2023. The streamer's debut stream on the platform garnered tens of thousands of concurrent viewers, and in May of 2023, he began his transition from Twitch streamer to Kick streamer. His viewership has reached a next level on Kick, and his Stream Fighters 2 special event broadcast reached 806.7K Peak Viewers, becoming Kick’s most popular broadcast ever.

WestCOL’s popularity has found new heights on Kick. The broadcaster is easily Kick’s forefront Spanish-speaking creator, and he often is one of the platform’s most-watched streamers on a monthly basis. Over the past 30 days, he has held an average viewership of 34.8K concurrent viewers, far higher than his previous time at Twitch.

Two more established creators followed WestCOL, both MrStivenTc and davooxeneize joined Kick, although they both still stream on other platforms. MrStivenTc boasts over 11.4M Subscribers on YouTube, and he has established himself as one of Latin America’s most popular Kick streamers throughout his year and a half on the platform. Despite this, his YouTube subscriber count is too big to compete with, and his YouTube Live broadcasts often receive slightly higher viewership than his Kick broadcasts.

Streamers who moved to Kick, viewership comparison

Davooxeneize is in a similar situation, although he is one of the new stars of Kick. The Twitch streamer has built up a large audience for himself after over 4 years of broadcasting, and on May 1, 2024, he made the move to join another platform. The Argentinian's football content has been well received on Kick, and his streams have held 9.9K Average Viewers through his first month on the site. The creator is still new to the platform, and his viewership there will only continue to grow as he establishes himself on Kick.

Lacobraaa is in the same boat to davooxeneize. They both recently joined Kick, with lacobraaa’s last Twitch stream finishing at the end of April, this year. Although his viewership isn’t as strong as it was on Twitch, he is still finding his place on the new green platform, and his metrics are strong for someone who only joined Kick 23 days ago.

Moving down the list, smaller streamers have enjoyed far more sizable boosts to their viewership on average than streamers who enjoy thousands of concurrent viewers on other platforms. Coscu landed on his feet at Kick, hosting many gambling streams on the platform. However, his gambling streams are only half as popular as his IRL content. Nevertheless, the streamer has enjoyed a 452% increase to his average viewership since joining Kick.

Samulx and Brunenger both enjoyed sizable dynamic increases to their average viewership, although the latter’s metrics are slightly skewed. Brunenger joined Kick in May, 2023, and slowly transitioned his content from Twitch to Kick. His final few months on Twitch received far below average viewership, as it was clear where he was headed. Across the entirety of 2023, Brunenger held 5.5K AV on Twitch, far ahead of his current Kick viewership. LaSapaaaaa’s story is roughly the same as Brunenger’s, it was clear the streamer was going to move on Twitch and his final few broadcasts on Twitch received far below average viewership.

Generally speaking, many streamers have realised new opportunities on Kick, and joining the platform has had a noticeable effect on their viewership. WestCOL is now the face of Kick’s Latin American community, and hosted several streams far more popular than anything he did on Twitch. Joining Kick is not a shortcut to success, but many creators have leveraged the opportunities this new platform presents to grow their audience, boost their viewership, and rocket their careers forward.
