Nimo TV is a subsidiary project of the Chinese platform Huya, which focuses on the global entertainment market. Three years ago, Tencent Corporation made investments in the company and since then it has been actively promoting in different regions, ranging from Southeast Asia to South America. Over the past few years, the service's audience has grown significantly. Streams Charts will tell you about the preferences of the platform's viewers, based on November's statistics.
In November, viewers spent more than 595.2 million hours on Nimo TV streams. And 38% of that number were spent watching broadcasts of Grand Theft Auto V, which was the most popular game on the platform in the last month of autumn.
GTA 5 outpaced its closest pursuer, PUBG Mobile, by more than 2.5 times in total Hours Watched. Two other mobile games, Mobile Legends and Free Fire, also made it to the top 5 of the platform's categories. Nimo TV also has its analogue of Just Chatting which is called Liveshow. And in November this category ranked fourth in terms of Hours Watched.
Other popular titles on Nimo TV in November were League of Legends, Valorant and PUBG. In addition, the service's audience can not only watch streamers playing games, but also join the Voice Room and chat with other members: in November, users spent more than 4.3 million hours in such 'rooms'.
We also analyzed the statistics of the platform's top 100 streamers to see which countries' creators were the most successful on the platform. It should be noted that the top 100 most popular content creators accounted for more than 40% of total Hours Watched in November.
The leadership belonged to content makers from Vietnam — they accounted for 34% of the HW total among the top 100 streamers. Creators from other Southeast Asian countries, such as Indonesia (second place) and Thailand (third place), were also popular.
Nimo TV is also very popular in Brazil, Turkey and some North African countries. For example, in November viewers followed creators from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
As for the gender ratio, the vast majority of the top streamers were male content creators. They accounted for 83% of the total Hours Watched among the platform's top 100 channels in November. It should be noted that female streamers accounted for 13%, while another 4% were from the channels of various studios and tournament organizers which broadcast esports tournaments.
Regarding the most popular streamers, five of the six most watched content creators in November were from Vietnam. First place went to Vietnamese creator MixiGaming — he generated 23 million Hours Watched, 160% more than his closest pursuer TUITÊNBÔ.
It is noteworthy that in the top 10 were also three representatives of Thailand, a Turk and an Indonesian. The only female streamer in the top was Misthy from Vietnam. It is worth noting that Rekt, a professional ML:BB player representing the EVOS Legends team, was one step away from making it into the top 10. Interestingly, top 100 streamers of the platform also has representatives from ONIC, RRQ, Bigetron and other popular esports teams of SEA.
