Most popular streams and content of Q3 2025 — boxing events and football top the charts

Most popular streams and content of Q3 2025 — boxing events and football top the charts

The third quarter of 2025 was filled with exciting, livestreamed events coming from both online creators pushing the boundaries and more traditional media that was also broadcast online. From sports matches and religious masses to marathon livestreaming events, July through September had no shortage of livestreaming highlights and content.

Ibai “ibai” Llanos’ La Velada del Año V was the single-most popular livestreaming event of the quarter, recording over 9.33M Peak Viewers on ibai’s personal Twitch channel, setting a new record for concurrent viewership on the platform. The boxing event series has captivated millions of fans each edition, and every time, ibai manages to push the bar higher and higher for livestreaming.

Similar to our previous top content reports, sports livestreaming enjoyed strong showings for the quarter and recorded millions of peak viewers for numerous events. Brazilian sports broadcaster Casimiro “CazéTV” Miguel, who topped these rankings in Q1 and Q2 this year, had to settle for second-place with 5.26M Peak Viewers for his coverage of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 quarterfinal featuring Chelsea and Palmeiras

The official FC Barcelona YouTube account also received over 3.19M Peak Viewers while covering this year’s Joan Gamper Trophy, an annual exhibition match where top teams play against the Barcelona side. The 2025 match against Como 1907 was highly popular, becoming the club’s most popular YouTube Live broadcast ever. The Joan Gamper Trophy 2025 was livestreamed exclusively on the FC Barcelona YouTube channel, funnelling viewers to the account.

In fourth by Peak Viewers, Apple recently held another of their exhibition events on September 9. The announcement stream saw Apple reveal upcoming products such as the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, new AirPods and Apple Watch products, as well as updates to their operating system and phones. While not as popular as previous Apple events, the September 9 stream was followed by millions live.

Similar to ibai’s boxing event, Mexico has founded its own series with the Supernova Strikers. Created by Miguel Angel Fox and hosted for the first time in 2025, the event featured some of Latin America and Mexico’s top creators and online celebrities, such as Luis Fernando “WestCol” Villa Álvarez and Mercedes Roa. Streamed on the Supernova Strikers Amigo channel, the inaugural edition was watched by over 2.23M concurrent viewers at peak.

While Peak Viewers can capture a brief moment of popularity for a stream, watch time presents a more stable ranking of the most-watched creators throughout the entire quarter. For this ranking, we have excluded organizational channels to focus on individual creators and personalities; organizational channels often broadcast around the clock, making it difficult for individual creators to compete in raw watch time.

Most watched livestreamed content of Q3 2025 by hours watch time

In watch time, CazéTV continues to lead with the most-watched content in livestreaming for Q3 2025, significantly leading all other creators. In total, the Brazilian streamer received over 151.4M Hours Watched for his coverage of matches in the FIFA Club World Cup, the Brazilian A Series, the Bundesliga, La Liga, and many other football tournaments. Compared to other quarters where Cazé streamed other sports and sometimes games, he remained focused on football for Q3.

In second place with an impressive 86.8M Hours Watched was Kai Cenat, who received this tsunami wave of viewership for his Mafiathon 3 event. The marathon livestreaming event took place throughout September, seeing Kai host other creators and various celebrity cameos as they took part in activities and entertained his audience for the entire month. The third edition of his series was a massive success, and saw him dominate Twitch for the entire period.

Impressively, ibai managed to record one of the most-watched pieces of livestreamed content for the entire quarter in only one stream. In under eight hours, ibai generated over 45M Hours Watched, significantly more than the marathon events of other creators, earning him the final podium spot on this rank.

Another familiar face, Frei Gilson of Brazil, ranked in fourth thanks to a marathon, 40-day run of rosary pray and music streams. The Brazilian creator found great success during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, when generations turned to technology for their weekly mass or daily prayers, and since then, he has continued to command a strong audience for his religious livestreaming content. For his 40-day marathon in Q3 2025, he received over 38.27M Hours Watched.

Bringing up the rear in fifth place, Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr received over 33M Hours Watched for his tour around the United States of America. The 30+ day tour saw him explore the country, visit various popular cities, and meet up with fans in public. It was all highly watched and followed by his audience, although it failed to reach the same exciting peak viewership heights he enjoyed on international tours. Nevertheless, he received strong viewership, especially considering the tough competition in North American livestreaming this quarter.
