How did the kick-off of esports season affect studios metrics and which German streamer broke into the top 3 channels of the week? In new Streams Charts weekly top we analyzed the most watched Twitch channels of the past week (January 26 — February 1).
Disclaimer: the rating is based on the hours that viewers spent watching the broadcasts of the channels (Hours Watched).
Felix “xQc” Lengyel became the leader of last week. Former esports player lost 11% of hours watched compared to the previous week (January 19-25), but still gained an impressive 4.5M hours watched. The difference with the 3rd place, political streamer Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker, is over 2M. Average viewers on xQc streams also increased by 5% — 56.8K people.
Top Growing channels:
Trymacs. Maximilian Stemmler's hours watched increased by 39%, placing him in 2nd place in the ranking. Trymacs showed rapid growth in the last days of the past week, when he opened expensive Pokemon packs on streams (2.5M Hours Watched from January 30 to February 1). On January 30, German streamer also updated his personal peak viewers record — 293,900 spectators at one time.
Btscsgo. Beyond The Summit got into the top 5 of the week thanks to the start of esports season. From January 25 to January 31, the channel broadcast matches of cs_summit 7, which won by CIS representatives — Virtus.pro. Channel’s peak viewers was 60.8K during last week.
Top Declining channels:
Gaules. Despite the 4th place in the top, Alexandre Borba's hours watched fell by 64% compared to January 19-25. Last week streamer focused on the Twitch Rivals, while a week ago he broadcasted key matches of BLAST Premier Global Final 2020. The average number of Gaules viewers also fell by 60% — 13K people with a peak of 74K.
Castro_1021. American FIFA 21 streamer lost 28% of hours watched. His average viewership fell by 17%, despite the fact that he continued to open Team of the Year (TOTY) packs all week.
