Trovo results in March 2022: popular channels and categories

Trovo results in March 2022: popular channels and categories
Share:

Streaming platform Trovo has been existing for more than a year, but in March it became the spotlight for many Russian-speaking streamers, who faced payment problems on Twitch & YouTube. The audience of the service, owned by Tencent, is actively growing every month: Streams Charts sums up the March results of the platform and tells about its most popular channels, female streamers and games.

Results of Trovo in March

Trovo's overall metrics in March increased significantly. Compared to February, the number of active channels increased by 19% to 3.5K. The total number of streams’ Hours Watched on the platform also increased by 16% to 26.8 million hours. Other metrics grew similarly, such as the total number of broadcasts, +23% (35.4K broadcasts in March).

While English-speking content creators garther the most viewers on Twitch, Trovo's top creators represent different regions: streamers from Greece, Russia (and other CIS countries), South America & the Balkan Peninsula are quite active on the platform, which accordingly affects the popularity of certain games.

The absolute leader of the platform in March is Grand Theft Auto 5, which accumulated 4.67 million Hours Watched, 1.6 times more than Dota 2, which takes second place in the metric. GTA 5 is extremely feeling confident on almost all streaming services, and the key to its success is the huge popularity of RP servers.

Mobile games gather a large audience on Trovo unlike Twitch. At the end of March, the top 10 Torvo's categories included three mobile titles — Free Fire (3rd place), Call of Duty: Mobile (5th place) and PUBG Mobile (9th place). Content creators from South American countries such as Peru, Mexico and Brazil are among the most popular streamers of these games.

We can single World of Tanks out of the games that are not very successful on other services — 4th place in March with 2.45 million Hours Watched. Streamers from Russia, Ukraine and other Russian-speaking countries gather the most viewers in this category.

The top of most watched streamers on Trovo changes every month, and with the influx of new creators, this is likely to happen even more often. In February, KingtekaDOTA was the sole leader, but in March he was not even in the top 20.

The most watched Trovo's creator last month is Chilean Smittyw, who accumulated 240K Hours Watched. Most often he streams IRL content and his favorite games are TerrariaLoLValorant and Apex Legends

It is noteworthy that the first four places of the top are taken by the representatives of South America: viewers actively watched the live stream of Peruvian DaarickOficial and SuperBenjaz besides Smittyw. And the Colombian MrStivenTc's content was also of interest to Torvo's audience. It is interesting that the second half of the ranking mostly consists of creators from Greece and Russia.

In March, MrStivenTc had the most successful stream on the platform by Hours Watched: his 5-hour Free Fire broadcast accumulated 45.8K HW and had 9.1K Average Viewers.

Russian Lagerta_Siman became the most popular female streamer on Trovo in March, accumulating 91K Hours Watched in 209 hours of airtime. Her main category is Dead by Daylight, and she spends almost all her time playing it. There are two more Russian female streamers in the top 10 along with Lagerta_Siman — TR1SS (4th place) and _Leslis_ (9th place).

Second place among female streamers by Hours Watched is taken by a Greece female streamer Mastermind98 — viewers spent over 82K hours watching her content. She mostly plays League of Legends, but occasionally plays GTA 5, TFT and chessIt is noteworthy that in March Mastermind98 also became the leader among female streamers by Peak Viewers — she attracted 3.1K PK. Another representative of Greece, panagiwwta_, was the most successful among female streamers by Average Viewers — she drew more than a thousand people in March.

Among the representatives of South America, the most popular female streamer is Peruvian Kate_Gaming — 6th place with a result of 48.9K Hours Watched. She spends most of her time playing Dota 2, and also talks to viewers in the ChitChat category from time to time.

What's coming to the platform in April?

Traditionally, every month Trovo makes updates of Trovo 500 program, which lets streamers from different regions earn money for airtime and the total number of channel's Hours Watched. In April, there were updates of following programs:

Moreover, April will traditionally feature VibeTag series events in WWE 2K22GhostWire: TokyoTiny Tina's Wonderlands and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Participants will compete for local currency Elixir.
