The streaming landscape is shifting as Trovo officially announces the end of its core incentive programs in North America, Europe, and Latin America. Effective February 1, 2026, the platform is sunsetting several financial initiatives, most notably the Trovo 500 program, as part of a broader strategic pivot.
While this marks a significant departure from Trovo's original growth strategy, the platform is not shutting down its revenue features entirely. Here is everything creators need to know about the upcoming changes.
The Big Shift: what’s being discontinued?
Starting February 1st, Trovo will stop funding regional incentive programs across major territories. The goal, according to official statements, is to reassess their business model and refocus resources.
-
The Trovo 500 Program: The flagship creator incentive program is officially ending in NA, EU, and LATAM.
-
Regional monetary incentives: All other platform-funded bonuses and financial programs in these regions will be halted.
-
New account streaming: In a surprising move, Trovo is restricting live streaming access for new users. If you have never streamed on the platform before or have just registered, you will be unable to go live for the time being.
What stays the same?
Despite the removal of platform-funded bonuses, the standard revenue-sharing model remains active. Creators can still monetize their content through direct community support:
-
Subscriptions: Revenue share from channel subs remains operational.
-
Donations & Elixirs: Fans can still support creators through direct contributions.
-
Gems system: The process of earning and cashing out Gems stays intact.
Trovo’s results in livestreaming
Trovo is a relatively small streaming platform, with most of its audience concentrated in Eastern Europe and parts of South America. The platform reached its peak popularity in 2022, when a wave of Russian-speaking streamers migrated to Trovo after losing monetization options on Twitch.
To date, Trovo’s all-time peak stands at 140,300 concurrent viewers, but over the past three years, peak viewership has not surpassed 50,000. Content on the platform is largely dominated by virtual casino streams, along with games such as World of Tanks, Lineage II, and Fortnite. In 2025, Trovo streams generated more than 51.7 million Hours Watched in total, marking a 26% decline compared to 2024.
