VTubers have surged in popularity in recent years, making significant waves in the digital entertainment industry. They frequently feature in global streamer rankings and are steadily outpacing ‘traditional’ content creators in live streaming viewership. The phenomenon has reached its peak popularity in Asian countries, particularly Japan and Korea. However, VTubers can be found across the globe, including Europe and North America.

As part of this report, Streams Charts gathered data on the most-watched VTubers outside of Asia for January - February 2024. The piece includes a list of the most successful content creators from platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and others, broken down by a set of metrics:

• Name

• Platform

• Channel URL

• Affiliation (VTuber' agency, e.g. VShojo, Phase-Connect)

• Channel Gender

• Channel Country

• Stream Language

• Hours Watched

• Average Viewers

• Airtime

• Followers Gain

• Business Email (may not be available for some streamers, as they prefer to communicate through socials)

• Twitter

• Content (up to 5 top streamer games/categories)

The primary sorting is based on the watch time (Hours Watched) metric, which most comprehensively reflects the streamer's popularity. Additionally, we have included the average concurrent viewers (Average Viewers) and Followers Gain metrics as alternatives.

Especially for brands and sponsors, we have included links to streamers' Twitter profiles in the report, as well as their business email addresses for contact purposes.

VTubers, or virtual YouTubers, are bloggers and streamers who use computer-generated virtual avatars to create content and communicate with their audiences.
