Top game publishers of livestreaming in Q3 2025

Top game publishers of livestreaming in Q3 2025

Gaming remains a core pillar of the livestreaming world, and its grip only tightened this past quarter. In Q3 2025, gaming’s share of total watch time climbed past 26%, marking steady growth across the industry. On platforms like Twitch, it continues to reign supreme, making up nearly three-quarters of everything audiences tune in to watch.

The battle for gamers’ attention is fierce: hundreds of studios and dozens of major publishers are fighting for every viewer across the globe. In Q3, no fewer than 15 publishers saw their games surpass 100 million Hours Watched. The top giants held firm, but the middle of the pack shifted in surprising ways. What’s interesting is how differently publishers rise to the top: some rely on vast catalogs spanning hundreds of titles, while others owe their success entirely to one defining game that carries their brand.

Streams Charts brings you the ranking of the most-watched video game publishers across multiple livestreaming platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, TikTok and Kick.

The top five publishers held their ground from the first half of the year. Tencent Games remains firmly in the lead, followed by Riot Games, with Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive closing out the top three. Valve sits in fifth, still strong but notably behind the frontrunners.

Tencent’s dominance comes from two powerhouse titles that appeal to entirely different audiences: League of Legends, which also fuels Riot’s runner-up position, as one of the most enduring hits in PC livestreaming, and PUBG Mobile, a mobile juggernaut that continues to captivate viewers across Asia and other regions with thriving mobile gaming culture.

While Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, appears in the ranking thanks to similar IPs, most notably PUBG Mobile, Garena stands out as another publisher focused on mobile gaming, with Free Fire as its flagship hit. The game may not be breaking records like it once did, but it remains one of the most prominent mobile titles today, sustained by a huge and loyal global fan base.

Rockstar Games (and Take-Two), in turn, owes most of its visibility to Grand Theft Auto V and its thriving roleplay scene. RP servers have become a global phenomenon, embraced by streamers everywhere. Despite being around for years, GTA roleplay keeps evolving with new mechanics and server innovations, ensuring its continued rise in popularity.

Valve’s place in the top tier is unsurprising, powered by its two enduring PC classics: Counter-Strike and Dota 2. While Counter-Strike continues to draw broader appeal overall, Dota 2 enjoyed a major surge in Q3 thanks to several high-profile esports tournaments, capped by The International. The boost brought the MOBA closer than usual to its shooter counterpart in total watch time, though not quite enough to surpass it.

Absent from the half-year ranking but debuting strongly this time, Roblox Corporation jumped straight to sixth place with its single global phenomenon, Roblox, even edging out the publishers of Minecraft. While the game primarily targets younger players, its vast customization options and creative variety have drawn in older audiences as well. And with its strong social dimension, Roblox doubles as a shared space where players connect as much as they play.

Another notable newcomer to the ranking is Electronic Arts, which managed to edge out Blizzard Entertainment. EA boasts the widest lineup of titles in our top 10, and unlike Roblox Corporation, its success stems from a diverse portfolio spanning multiple genres, from Apex Legends and Battlefield to a range of sports simulators, including 2025’s standouts EA Sports FC 26 and EA Sports College Football 26, the latter a major hit in the United States.
