Fall Guys went free-to-play over a month ago. In the new article, Streams Charts describes the changes to the viewership statistics of the game on Twitch, as well as the streamers that had the greatest impact on this.

In the thirty days before the transition to the F2P model, Fall Guys had generated only 8.8M Hours Watched and attracted 12.3K Average Viewers and just under 224K Peak Viewers. In the thirty days following the transition to the F2P model, the above-mentioned viewership figures for Fall Guys increased by 474.7%, 471.7%, and 86.5%, respectively. In addition, the average number of the game’s active channels grew by almost 1510% and the peak number by 1683.2%.

The mark of 417.6K Peak Viewers was reached on July 1. On this day, the events of the Twitch Rivals Fall Guys Season 1 Showdown series took place in Europe, North America, and Brazil. Hispanic streamers made a huge contribution to the game’s Peak Viewers: more than 24% of the total was contributed by the auronplay stream, and more than 15% by the ibai stream. The top 5 also included the Italian Tumblurr and two Spaniards: MrKeroro10 and juansguarnizo, whose broadcasts accounted for approximately 5% of the Fall Guys’ Peak Viewers each.

In the 30 days since the game switched to the F2P model, English has become the most popular language for streaming Fall Guys. English-language streams generated 26.6% of the total Hours Watched, while the Spanish-language streams generated only 0.25% less. The broadcasts in German contributed 13.7%, while French and Italian streams generated 8.8% and 4.3% of the total, respectively.

A month before the transition to the F2P model, the most popular language for Fall Guys broadcasts was German, but otherwise, the top 5 was the same. The most watched Fall Guys streamer during the month since the game went free-to-play was auronplay. His broadcasts generated 3.8% of total Hours Watched and the streams of Ibai contributed 2.9%Eliasn97 was the leader of the category for 30 days before the free-to-play release. At the time, the streamer was contributing 15.5%, but a month later he was generating only 2.3% of total Hours Watch for the Fall Guys title. The top 5 in terms of contribution to the total Hours Watched also included MrKeroro10 (2.2%) and xQc (1.8%).

We analyzed the audience of Fall Guys thirty days before the transition to the F2P model and thirty days after that. It turned out that the viewers of Just Chatting and Valorant were most interested and continue to be interested in this game. Fall Guys is also liked by audiences of MinecraftGTA VFortnite, and LoL. At the same time, after the game became free-to-play, the number of fans on Twitch who were interested in it alone has grown significantly.

Fall Guys enjoyed the most popularity on Twitch in 2020, but then quickly lost the interest of viewers. By making the game free-to-play, the developers breathed new life into the title, once again attracting the attention of a huge audience. Perhaps the developers of other once popular titles will want to repeat the success of Fall Guys and make their games free-to-play, monetizing them in other ways.
