Over 80% of all female Twitch streamers regularly broadcast in Just Chatting, which is the main category for the vast majority of girls. All other categories on the platform are much less popular among female streamers.
The most popular game among female Twitch streamers is Valorant, with over a quarter of all female streamers on the platform regularly playing the Riot Games shooter. Talking about single-player titles, in the first half of 2023, the leader became Hogwarts Legacy, played by every second of the 10 female streamers on the platform.
Minecraft, Fortnite, League of Legends, Sons of the Forest, Overwatch 2, Resident Evil 4, and Apex Legends also made it into the Top 10 most popular categories. As statistics proves, female Twitch streamers prefer to play team shooters and battle royale games.
As for language distribution, the overwhelming majority, i.e., 65% of female Twitch streamers, broadcast in English. Russian or Spanish are spoken by 14% (7% each) of female streamers, and German, French, Portuguese, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Turkish are also among the Top 10 most popular broadcast languages on the platform.
Most Popular Twitch Streamers by Total Hours Watched
The leader among female streamers in terms of Hours Watched is Rivers_gg from Mexico. Her channel accumulated 8.8 million HW in the first five months of the year. Rivers_gg’s popularity soared after the launch of the Spanish football media league Kings League, where the female streamer became a co-owner and ambassador of Pio FC. Rivers_gg cannot be called a "gaming streamer", but she regularly broadcasts Kings League matches and participates in various shows with other top Twitch creators.
Jinnytty from South Korea takes second place in the Top — in the first half of the year, her Twitch streams accumulated nearly 7.6 million HW. Jinnytty mainly streams in the Just Chatting category, but in the spring, she actually became the most popular travel blogger on the platform. For several months, Jinnytty has been traveling around Southeast Asian countries and sharing her emotions about what she sees with her fans every day.
Saddummy, a popular Twitch streamer from South Korea, takes third place in the ranking. During her streams, she mainly plays various popular titles such as Diablo IV, The Legend of Zelda, Minecraft, etc., as well as communicates with viewers in the Just Chatting category. In total, her channel amassed 6.6 million HW in five months.
AMOURANTH, a female streamer from the USA, ranks fourth among the most watched female streamers in the first half of 2023. Her result over this period was 6.4 million HW, mainly accumulated in the Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches category, but recently AMOURANTH has also been playing some popular titles (such as Diablo IV or The Legend of Zelda).
Fifth place goes to Kyedae — 5.6 million HW. All the streams of this Canadian female streamer are dedicated to Valorant. This is quite a rare occurrence, as usually girls on streams play different titles, rather than focusing on one specific shooter. Kyedae not only streams Valorant, but also participates in VCT Game Changers tournaments.
Next after Kyedae is another Canadian female streamer, 39daph, playing a variety of titles. Over the last five months, she has amassed 4.8 million HW by playing 20 different games. Most of 39daph's streams were held in Valorant, Genshin Impact, The Legend of Zelda, and Minecraft.
At the bottom of the Top are several VTubers. For example, among them is ironmouse — the most popular Vtuber from the USA with 4.6 million HW. Following her are three streamers from South Korea — viichan6, ayatsunoyuni and 2chamcham2. Basically all of them stream popular titles like Minecraft, Valorant, Lost Ark, League of Legends, etc.
Most Popular Twitch Streamers by Peak Viewers
QTCinderella from the USA leads the Top of the most popular female Twitch streamers. Her most popular Twitch broadcast in the first half of 2023 drew about 355K PV. This happened on March 11 during the Streamer Awards ceremony, organized and presented by QTCinderella.
Second place goes to Rivers_gg. In February, she streamed her team's match in the Kings League, which attracted about 168K PV, a record number for the Rivers_gg channel. The reason for such popularity was the fact that Ronaldinho participated in the match as a guest.
Third place belongs to biyin_, a Twitch streamer from Spain. In February, she held a stream in the Just Chatting category, which drew almost 114K PV. Following her is the channel of AriGameplays — the female streamer from Mexico attracted 111K PV viewers thanks to the broadcast of the Squid Craft 2 event.
Russian female streamer Tenderlybae takes fifth place by Peak Viewers. In January, she hosted a Twitch broadcast called "First Stream Without a Mask", which drew 64K PV.
AMOURANTH ranks sixth in the ranking, with nearly 63K PV watching the popular Twitch streamer participate in Squid Craft 2 show in Minecraft. IamCristinini from Spain gathered slightly fewer viewers during her stream of the Idolo Award 2023 ceremony in March.
Brazilian female streamer nabrizarp ranks eighth, with one of her GTA V RP server streams attracting around 58K PV in January 2023, a personal channel record for her.
The ninth and tenth places go to two American streamers, tokibbi and cheebs, both of whom enjoy playing different titles during their streams. Their popularity peaked during March streams of KartRider: Drift, with tokibbi's stream attracting 56K PV and cheebs' stream attracting 45K PV viewers. Both channels achieved record-breaking results during those streams.
