Recent signals from the publishers behind the GTA series strongly suggest that Grand Theft Auto VI is now firmly locked in for a November 19 release.
The confirmation comes from Take-Two Interactive’s latest financial outlook, specifically its projected net bookings for fiscal Q3 2026, as first reported by IGN. According to the outlet, journalists obtained both a copy of the internal report and a short accompanying statement that further reinforces the idea that the release window is no longer in flux.
That statement explicitly ties Take-Two’s confidence to its broader fiscal performance and upcoming marketing plans:
“Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer.”
IGN journalist Rebekah Valentine also spoke directly with Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive. When asked how he currently feels about the announced release date, Zelnick’s response was concise and unambiguous: “I feel very good about it.”
Despite the absence of any full gameplay reveal so far, Grand Theft Auto VI remains one of the most anticipated video game releases in the industry. That anticipation has persisted even through a turbulent scheduling history. The title has already been delayed twice: first from its originally expected 2025 launch window to May 26, 2026, and later pushed again to its current target of November 19, 2026.
With marketing now slated to begin in summer 2026 and both financial guidance and executive messaging aligned, this is the strongest indication yet that GTA 6’s long-awaited release date is finally settling into place.
