The latest edition of The Game Awards, which honors the best video games of 2023, will emanate from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on December 7. It will be hosted by Canadian games journalist Geoff Keighley, creator and producer of the show, with Sydnee Goodman returning as host of the 30-minute preshow, titled Opening Act, in front of a live audience.

Tickets for the tenth edition of this show became available on November 6 and sold out within a week, quicker than any other year. There will also be increased security following stage interruptions at the previous edition last December and Gamescom's Opening Night Live in August.

Keighley has mentioned that they are aiming to keep the show and preshow with a collective three-hour runtime, just like its predecessor. The Game Awards 2023 will also be the fourth show to present the Future Class, a list of 50 individuals from across the video game spectrum who best represent its future.
