Streams Charts has calculated the social media follower counts for teams participating in the Kings World Cup 2024. Five clubs have amassed over one million followers each, including four representatives from Spain's Kings League.
A team's popularity is as crucial as its match performance in media football leagues. This popularity is usually driven by top streamers, bloggers, and content creators who serve as the presidents of these clubs. Additionally, the clubs maintain official accounts on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter). Having pages on these social networks is essentially mandatory for all teams in the Kings League InfoJobs and Kings League Santander. While some teams also use other social media platforms, this is a less common practice.

Among the teams in Kings League InfoJobs, the leader in total followers is PIO FC, led by the popular Mexican streamer Rivers. PIO FC boasts over 1.9 million followers across TikTok, Instagram, and X. The top three teams in audience reach also include Porcinos FC (led by Ibai) with 1.6 million followers, and Kunisports (led by Kun Agüero) with 1.5 million followers.

Most teams in Kings League InfoJobs have the majority of their followers on TikTok. Team pages on Instagram are also popular, but significant activity on Twitter is mainly seen from PIO FC, Porcinos FC, and Jijantes FC (led by Gerard Romero).
The Kings League Santander has fewer followers than the Spanish league, primarily because the Latin American league started relatively recently. Almost all participants in the Santander league maintain mandatory TikTok, Instagram, and X pages, but their audience distribution across these platforms varies. For example, the leader in follower count is Club de Cuervos (led by Mercedes Roa), with over 2.47 million followers, most of whom are on Facebook. Other teams in the Santander league primarily have their audiences on Instagram.
The Wildcard teams have significantly fewer followers, as most were assembled shortly before the start of the Kings World Cup 2024. Some participants registered multiple pages like the InfoJobs and Santander teams, while others barely focused on social media promotion.
Among the Wildcard teams, the English team FIVE FC (led by Jeremy Lynch) has the most followers, with over 440K+ across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. G3X FC (led by Gaules) also performed well on social media. In contrast, Medallo City (led by Maluma) and the Japanese team Murash FC (led by Junichi Kato) have the fewest followers. However, some teams created new pages during the tournament, which could significantly impact their overall rankings.
Only those streamer channels that broadcast Kings World Cup matches
The Kings World Cup 2024 teams have their social media pages, but the club presidents mainly cover their matches on their channels. Younes Zarou leads in potential audience reach on streaming services, with over 78 million followers on his YouTube and TikTok channels combined. However, having many followers does not guarantee that each will watch the live streams, as many content creators who became club ambassadors rarely conducted live broadcasts before this event.
The most significant contributions during the streams come from sxb, Aminematu, Tumblurr, and WestCol. Although these streamers have fewer followers than major TikTok or YouTube stars, they attract the most viewers to live broadcasts. This highlights the importance of engagement levels in addition to potential audience reach.
