Most popular Twitch teams in July 2021

Most popular Twitch teams in July 2021

August is in full swing, but Streams Charts continues to summarize July streaming results. In this piece, you'll learn about the most popular communities of streamers on Twitch.

Disclaimer. The rating is based on the sum of hours that viewers have spent on channels’ broadcasts during the month. Communities of esports organizations like Luminosity, TSM and G2 Esports were not included. Read a separate article about top Twitch communities of esports teams in July.

GFUEL's streamers traditionally remain the leader of Twitch monthly ranking. In July, the team's numbers dropped by 100K in terms of Hours Watched compared to June, but still totaled an impressive 43.2M. At the same time, the number of channels streaming on behalf of the community increased from 451 to 465.

This time the most watched member of GFUEL team was not summit1g — last month he was overtaken by American Trainwreckstv, whose Hours Watched increased by 121% compared to June. The main streamer category was Slots — starting from August 17, Twitch will not allow to show referral links to online casinos on the channel, as the platform has often been accused of not restricting such broadcasts from people under 18 in any way.

Second place in the July ranking went to Loaded, a streamers community with 29.9M Hours Watched. The difference between first and second place was 44.5%, but only 39 channels streamed on behalf of the Loaded Twitch team. The most watched member of the team was Canadian streamer shroud, with 19.5% of Loaded's Hours Watched.

The OTK (One True King) community showed one of the highest growths compared to June. The team's Hours Watched rose by 40% to 27.5M, helping OTK climb from seventh to third place. With only 10 people streaming on behalf of OTK in July, Asmongold was the most popular among viewers with 14.6M Hours Watched (53% of the team's total). All thanks to broadcasts on Final Fantasy XIV Online, where Asmongold spent over 90 hours of airtime.

Rounding out the top 5 were communities of Riot Games and CS:GO Pro Player Streams. The Riot Games channels aired the final weeks of the League of Legends summer regional splits, while the CS:GO Pro Player Streams community made it to the top 5 thanks to ESL_CSGO channel, which aired the first CS:GO LAN tournament since the Coronavirus pandemic began, IEM Cologne 2021, during July 6-18.

The second part of the rating includes teams of streamers from Corsair, gaming devices brand; DreamSMP YouTubers; Tribo Gaules — community of the Brazilian streamer and commentator Gaules; representatives of the United Talent Agency (UTA); and Vizz, a Spanish agency. Note the return of the last team to the rankings: only three people streamed on behalf of the Vizz community in July, but each of them is in the top Spanish-language streamers - ibaiTheGrefg and Rubius.
