Streams Charts starts to sum up the fourth quarter of 2021. In a new article, we will tell you about the most popular Russian-language streamers on Twitch, analyze the overlap of their audience, as well as name the categories in this language segment that were most interesting to viewers. Data was collected by out Twitch statistics tool.

The ranking of Russian-language streamers was compiled based on their Hours Watched number in Q4, 2021 (October-December). Channels of studios and gaming communities were excluded from the compilation.

In three months, the top 100 streamers accumulated a total of 121.6 million Hours Watched, which is 33.2% of all the Russian-language channels’ ratio on Twitch, and 2.2% of the platform's total for that period. Compared with Q3, 2021, the Hours Watched number of Russian-language streamers from the top 100 increased by 7.74%.

At the same time, 79 Russian streamers from the top 100 accumulated 83.6% of the total Hours Watched number. The contribution of Ukrainian content creators (19 people) accounted for 13.7% of that number. One streamer each from Moldova and Belarus amassed 1.7% and 0.9% of the Hours Watched total, respectively.

The most popular category in the Russian-speaking streamers segment in the third quarter of 2021 is Dota 2. Its proportion of the total Hours Watched number is 31.25% — this number was largely accumulated due to the numerous amateur broadcasts of The International 10. Almost half as many Hours Watched (16.36%) were accumulated by Just Chatting. The Hearthstone category, which is usually streamed by the most popular Russian-language streamer of 2021, Vladislav ‘SilverName’ Sinotov, surpassed CS:GO by just over three percent and took third place.

Call of Duty: Warzone ranked fifth with 4.5 million Hours Watched (3.7% of the top 10 categories’ total) thanks to Dmitry ‘Recrent’ Osintsev's broadcasts, who became the top 2 streamer in the Russian-language segment in 2021.

The iconic Heroes of Might and Magic III is placed sixth. Aleksandr ‘VooDooSh’ Shalchinov largely helped this category to amass 3.67 million Hours Watched (3% of the total HW number) in three months.

Other categories that are not in the top 10, together account for slightly more than 23% of the total Hours Watched number which was amassed by the hundred of the most popular Russian-speaking streamers.

The leader among Russian-language streamers in terms of Hours Watched in the fourth quarter of 2021 is Yaroslav ‘just_ns’ Kuznetsov. In three months he accumulated 7.22 million Hours Watched. At the same time, 77% of these hours were accumulated in October, when the streamer organized his own studio to cover The International 10. That was also the time when the channel set a record for Peak Viewers.

Vladislav SilverName Sinotov takes second place in this metric. He amassed 6.53 million Hours Watched in the fourth quarter. His best month regarding Hours Watched was also October. However, Sinotov did not broadcast all of the TI10 matches, only those in which Team Spirit participated. The rest of the time he played and streamed Hearthstone.

The only Ukrainian streamer in the top 10 by Hours Watched is Vadim ‘Evelone192’ Kozakov. His channel ranked seventh with 2.92 million Hours Watched. Kozakov did not broadcast TI10 but covered another major tournament, the PGL Major Stockholm 2021

During the major's Grand Final, in which NAVI competed against G2 Esports, Evelone192's broadcast reached over 115K Peak Viewers, the highest total in the top 10. Just_ns comes in second place, drawing more than 90K Peak Viewers at the broadcast of TI10 Grand Final between Team Spirit and PSG.LGD.

Vyacheslav ‘Buster’ Leontyev, who gathered 58.2K Peak Viewers during a stream with a popular Tiktoker ‘N3koglai’ and a hip-hop artist Soda Luv, rounds out the top 3 by Peak Viewers. On this broadcast, the content creators recorded a collaborative music track.

The top 100 Russian-language streamers in the last three months of 2021 features only two female streamers. The leader is Ksenia ‘modestal’ Shilova. The female streamer amassed 882.38K Hours Watched, and 56% of them were accumulated in November. That month, modestal streamed several Marvel Cinematic Universe movies at once. Other female streamers also streamed movies regularly, which is quite risky because it can result in a ban on Twitch.

We analyzed the audience overlap between the five most watched Russian-language streamers in Q4, 2021.

We found that about 48% of Alexander ‘VooDooSh’ Shalchinov's audience often appears on just_ns’ broadcasts, while 35.4% of the audience watches SilverName’s streams. This is quite surprising, as these content creators stream in completely different categories (Heroes of Might and Magic III, Dota 2 and Hearthstone).

But we also found a much less surprising state: 38% of just_ns audience follows Oleg ‘Stray228’ Bocharov's content, since Dota 2 is the main category for both of them.

Dmitriy ‘Recrent’ Osintsev has the least audience overlap with other streamers from the top 5 — from 11% to 19%. His top category was Call of Duty: Warzone.

In our next articles we will analyze the top 100 streamers in other languages, namely Spanish-, Portuguese-, English- and German-speaking content creators. Subscribe to our social networks not to miss new reports.
