Kick beats previous mark by 21% to hit new average viewership record in September 2026

Kick's rapid growth continued in September 2026, surpassing 700 million Hours Watched for the first time in a month. After notching record numbers in July and August, the platform made it perhaps its most successful quarter ever by breaking new ground when it came to watch time and average concurrent viewership.

Kick maintains record-setting spree

Kick viewership dynamics in September 2026

With 773.8 million HW last month, Kick set a new benchmark for monthly watch time, beating the previous record set in August 2026 by around 15.65%. It also crossed 1 million Average Viewers in a month for the first time, with its 1.09 AV representing a spike of 21.31% from the prior milestone, also set in August 2026.

This analysis is based on Streams Charts data. Our platform tracks more than 63 million channels across major global and regional livestreaming services, helping studios, organizations, and agencies measure viewership performance, audience behavior, and market trends. Contact us to explore how livestreaming data can support your next event or business decision.

The platform's Peak Viewers count took a minuscule hit, falling by around 23K concurrent viewers month-on-month. It was still enough to rank among Kick's four most successful months by this metric, with the leader remaining October 2025's 4.6 million PV, aided by Luis "westcol" Álvarez's Stream Fighters 4 event.

The number of games streamed also touched a new mark of almost 6.3K, representing a rise of 4% from the August 2026 milestone. As more and more streamers make the direct jump to Kick or add it to their multistreaming schedule, the number of categories streamed continues to shoot up.

Open World enjoys surge to break into top ten

Most-watched Kick genres in September 2026

For a second straight month, almost all the genres tracked on Kick enjoyed monthly rises in their watch time. Open World was the big mover, experiencing a relatively substantial 59% MoM spike to finish in the eighth spot, led by the release of WARDOGS and World of Warcraft: Forever's beta.

Gambling was the biggest mover, climbing up three spots to seventh after seeing a 93% surge in MoM HW, as a less busy esports calendar led streamers back to this genre. RPG (Role-playing) and Strategy dropped their monthly watch time but managed to retain their top-ten places, although Mobile was not that lucky and exited these September 2026 rankings.

Minecraft makes huge strides to enter top ten

The monthly category rankings had almost the same look about it from August 2026, save for a few minor exchanges of places between entries. The top four remained the same, while Minecraft enjoyed a surge last month to break into the top ten, courtesy of the latest Dedsafio series and the Minecraft Live Sept 2026.

Counter-Strike 2 rounded off the top five after improving its monthly watch time by 12%, led by events like StarLadder StarSeries Season 20 and FISSURE Playground #3. However, it was the newly released EA Sports FC 27 that made the biggest waves, jumping to the seventh spot despite launching in the last week of September 2026, as it outpaced FC 26 at launch.

Streamers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region continued to bring in the most sustained viewership engagement on Kick. As many as four of these creators made the top ten rankings, including the top two, who were the only ones to surpass 10 million HW in September 2026.

In a reflection of the consistently improving viewership metrics of the platform, the entire top ten saw improvements in their monthly watch times. In fact, this trend can be tracked all the way into the top 15, with Victor "coringa" Augusto in 14th place as the first name to see a dip in MoM HW. This too can be chalked up to the fact that the Brazilian star multistreams across three platforms, leading to a split in his viewership.

We also have to mention Omar "odablock" and yoloaventuras for their impressive month-on-month gains of 630% and 232%, respectively. Odablock is an Old School RuneScape creator who made history in September 2026 by hitting over 100,000 active subscribers during a 24-day subathon, making him the first RuneScape creator and the first Kick streamer to cross the six-figure subscriber milestone.

Yolo Aventuras is a collaborative comedy and entertainment group that posts streams filled with challenges, pranks, and fun segments. Last month, the Mexican channel was busy with La Casa de los Pecados (The House of Sins), a viral online series and streaming event it created that featured a fictional house of seven sins. It also held a streaming marathon where the members were handcuffed for 72 hours as part of a challenge.

Dayana's rapid rise helps her reach Kick's female streamer rankings summit

Most popular female Kick streamers by Average Viewers in September 2026

While Abigail "zullyy_cs" Salazar continued to lead the female Kick rankings by Average Viewers in September 2026, it was the second-placed Dayana who made rapid gains. The Mexican social media influencer has skyrocketed to become the most-watched Spanish-speaking female streamer on the platform on the back of travel logs, Just Chatting sessions, and lifestyle content.

Alongside the top two, Masatsugu "fujisawanana" Fujisawa remained the only female Kick streamer to average more than 10K viewers in a month. We also saw American creators make a comeback to these top ten rankings after completely missing out in August 2026, with as many as three names making it.

Rankings regulars like Milenka Nolasco and Alondra "alondrissa" Michelle would have made this list, but they missed out on our criteria of streaming for at least 10 hours. Nevertheless, the female segment on Kick remains the domain of Latin American creators, as they continue to attract the highest engagement.
