If July 2026 was one of Kick's most successful months to date, August 2026 showed it wasn't a one-off. Last month, the platform recorded gains across the board, with Hours Watched up 13% and Peak Viewers up 29% month over month.
Kick continues to set new records

In July 2026, Kick recorded its second-highest monthly totals ever for both Hours Watched and Average Viewers. Both metrics rose further in August, helped by coverage of several major esports events.

The Stake-backed platform accumulated a record 669.14 million Hours Watched in August. Peak Viewers reached 2.36 million, one of Kick's three highest monthly peaks, while Average Viewers exceeded 900K for the first time, setting another platform record.
The number of games streamed also increased 1% month over month to 6,081, adding to the variety of content available on Kick.
Nine of Kick's top 10 genres gained watch time in August 2026

Nine of Kick's ten most-watched genres recorded more Hours Watched than in July. Action remained the leading genre with 263.87M Hours Watched, up 26% month over month.
The Simulator and Mobile genres grew by more than 40% month over month, driven largely by increased interest in games such as Escape From Tarkov, Battlegrounds Mobile India and EA Sports FC 26. Escape from Tarkov attracted additional viewership following the release of Patch 1.1.0, which introduced the Kord Breach season and prompted prominent creators to stream the update.
Battlegrounds Mobile India, meanwhile, drew a large South Asian audience as Kick continued its expansion in India following its partnership with 8Bit Creatives, the platform's first official creator agency partner in the country.
IRL was the only top-10 genre to decline, slipping 2% month over month. It nevertheless remained popular among creators and was the only genre to average more than 2K active channels in August.

Dota 2 and EA Sports FC 26 posted the largest month-over-month gains in Hours Watched among Kick's most-watched categories in August. Dota 2 benefited from coverage of The International, the game's biggest annual esports event.
EA Sports FC 26 also benefited from streams by Luis "westcol" Álvarez, Victor "coringa" Augusto and Gabriel "gabepeixe" Baptista. All three recorded month-over-month increases of more than 300% in Hours Watched for the game.
In a reflection of the genre rankings, even the Kick categories that saw downward movement in monthly watch time only had minor decreases. Just Chatting, IRL, and PUBG Mobile all lost less than 7% of their watch hours from July, ensuring a mostly stable August for Kick categories across the board.
Kick's top streamer rankings for August 2026

The most-watched Kick content creator last month was Nurideen "deenthegreat" Shabazz, a licensed crossover boxer who also doubles down as an internet personality and streamer. He enjoyed a spike of 43% in his month-to-month HW numbers thanks to the ongoing Locked-In-A-Thon, a continuous, 24/7 livestream event that features round-the-clock coverage, training, and co-hosting with former boxing champion Adrien Broner.
Jordan's Maher "maherco" Sultaneh continues to reinforce his status as one of the platform's most bankable stars in its first few years by maintaining his run in these rankings. He was joined by other regulars like Amr "3mr" Diab, David "davooxeneize" Quint, and Rangesh "n3on" Mutama, despite all three suffering dips in their monthly watch times.
Unlike Twitch, Kick's streamer rankings have historically been dominated by creators from MENA and Latin America rather than North America and Europe. August's top 10, however, also featured deenthegreat from the United States and Shun "korekore_ch" Aoki from Japan, giving the ranking a broader geographic mix.
Wedding bells put Zullyy atop Kick's female streamer ranking

Abigail "zullyy_cs" Salazar led the women's ranking with 31.2K Average Viewers in August. Her monthly average viewership rose 425%, driven by broadcasts of her birthday and wedding.
Zullyy was joined in the top three by July leader fujisawanana and Milenka Nolasco; no other female streamer exceeded 10K Average Viewers. Latin American creators continued to dominate Kick's female segment, although the August top 10 also included streamers from Japan and Turkey.
August extended Kick's momentum from July, setting platform records for Hours Watched and Average Viewers while nine of its top 10 genres grew month over month. The month's channel rankings also featured creators from a wide range of countries, underscoring the platform's international reach.
