PC Gamer presented their first PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted on November 30, counting down the 25 games they were most excited about. The show wasn’t only a listed ranking of games but also featured new trailers, announcements, and updates for various titles.

The show covered triple-AAA titles like GTA 6, fan-favourites Path of Exile, and even smaller indie games like the upcoming sequel to Hollow Knight. Not only was the show broadcast to the official PCGamer Twitch and YouTube channels but it was supported by a wide array of community casters that accumulated hundreds of Hours Watched for the show.

In total, the show generated 423.3K Hours Watched across the various channels to cover the event on both Twitch and YouTube Live. Of the most-watched channels for the event, celebrity Twitch streamers were the most popular option for fans to watch the event through. The official PCGamer Twitch channel was ranked fifth by Hours Watched, falling behind famous Twitch streamers.

Across all 80+ channels to cover the show, three were 127K Average Viewers watching the broadcast at any given moment. These viewers are split across the channels to cover the event, and 85% of the Average Viewers watched the event on Twitch rather than YouTube Live.

Zackrawrr, better known as Asmongold, was the most popular Twitch streamer of the event. He reached 54.6K Peak Viewers during the show, by far the most popular streamer to cover the event. iXBT Live was the most popular YouTube Live channel to cover the event, reaching 10.8K Peak Viewers. The iXBT stream was more popular than the PC Gamer and IGN YouTube Live broadcasts.

The top three game titles of the show were Hades 2 in third place, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree in second, and Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl as the ultimate winner. Stalker, stylised as S.T.A.L.K.E.R., was a first-person survival horror shooter developed by Ukrainian company GSC Game World. It was released in 2007 and became a fan favourite for many gamers around the world. Fans have been waiting for a sequel for over 15 years at this point.

Comparing the popularity of some of the games at PCGamer's show on Twitch, we scoured Twitch chats for the total mentions of these selected games between Nov 20 and Dec 1.

Although Stalker was the most-wanted game by PCGamer’s ‘The Council’ who decided these rankings, it was not the most popular game among Twitch chat. During the event, Path of Exile received 366% more mentions in Twitch chat than Stalker and far more than any other title we looked for. Path of Exile 2 is coming in the form of a closed beta next summer, and although it only ranked 9th on PCGamer’s list, Twitch chat shows the hype and excitement for the upcoming sequel is there.
