Many popular Hispanic creators, including ibai, TheGrefg, elxokas, Rubius, bysTaXx participated in the tournament. The goal of the event was not so much to compete as to experience nostalgia and cool emotions. Thanks to such activity of the streamer community, for a day Modern Warfare 3 surpassed not only Warzone, but also all the top categories on Twitch except Just Chatting.
Asier ‘MrSoki’ Gonzalez's team won the event, defeating David ‘TheGrefg’ Canovas's team 3-0 in the Grand Final.
The MW3 Tournament OldSchool total Hours Watched number exceeded 2 million, with IlloJuan accounting for 24%, bysTaXx for 18%, and ibai for 15% of the total. The event's matches were watched by 337K Average Viewers.
MW3 Tournament OldSchool wasn't the first successful tournament hosted by the Hispanic streamer community. The Twitch Rivals Squidcraft Games tournament in Minecraft took place in January, which attracted over 2.2 million Peak Viewers and became the most popular tournament in the series.
