Top German streamers of 2025
Share:

Germany’s livestreaming ecosystem continued to rank among the strongest globally in 2025, combining veteran creators with newer-generation broadcasters capable of delivering sustained, high-volume viewership. Across gaming, esports co-streaming, IRL formats and Just Chatting, German creators once again demonstrated exceptional audience retention and scalability.

Below is a detailed ranking of the ten most-watched German streamers of 2025, ordered by total Hours Watched (HW), with expanded context on each creator’s background and their role in shaping the year.

Note: This article was updated on January 12 with finalized 2025 data.

#10 Maximilian “HandOfBlood” Knabe

Maximilian “HandOfBlood” Knabe, one of Germany’s most recognizable gaming entertainers, began his online career on YouTube in the early 2010s. HandOfBlood was active through some of YouTube’s oldest trends: the beginning of Let’s Plays, the horror-craze of Amnesia, and even getting ahead of the curb with a street interview video that went viral in 2014.

Known as HandOfBlood, Maximilian is one of Germany’s oldest creators

HandOfBlood became one of Germany’s most legendary content creators, and experimented with all different kinds of streaming and videos during his storied history. The creator took a break from streaming to focus on other projects in 2020, but in 2024, he made the decision to come back to Twitch. Knabe received a warm welcome from his fans this year and last, becoming the 10th-most-watched German streamer of both years.

Knabe is also involved in various corners of German digital entertainment. He is part of the media football league Baller League, founded the esports team Eintracht Spandau, and this year, was part of a collaboration with Krombacher, one of Germany’s largest breweries. His most popular content of the year was his influencer darts tournament, which received over 69,000 Peak Viewers.

#9 Marcel “MontanaBlack88” Eris

Marcel “MontanaBlack88” Eris is one of Germany’s oldest creators, having been creating content since 2013. His rise was fueled by highly personal storytelling, unfiltered opinions and a willingness to openly discuss both success and personal struggles with his audience.

MontanaBlack88 pivoted to more vulnerability with fans to great success

Originally a gaming creator, he later transitioned into more serious topics, publishing a book about his life and the dangers of substance abuse. The book spent weeks at the top of the non-fiction bestseller lists in Germany, making Marcel Eris a household name as well as an internet celebrity.

In 2025, his most popular content were Special Events livestreams, usually challenges or unboxings, and IRL broadcasts. IRL streams can be tricky in Germany with the country’s strict privacy laws regarding public filming, but the style of content remains eternally popular online. In the early months of the year, he reached over 90,000 viewers on Twitch numerous times for unboxings, and even reached 104,200 Peak Viewers for a €24,000 Pokémon card unboxing stream.

#8 Bastian “BastiGHG”

Bastian “BastiGHG” rose to prominence through Minecraft content on YouTube before expanding into livestreaming. The creator has been active on Twitch since 2016, making him one of the platform’s longest-standing German creators. Over the years, he has built one of the most stable Minecraft-focused communities in Germany and now collaborates with some of the country’s most popular streamers.

Basti has maintained his privacy, appearing on podcasts like EDELTALK via Minecraft avatar

In 2025, Basti’s streams continued to revolve around Minecraft projects, challenges and other competitive events. Basti went live throughout every day of 2025 so far, a testament to his dedication and consistency to his passion and community. These constant streams helped him generate a considerable amount of watch time — over 21,000,000 HW — and he still managed significant peak viewerships, too. For his co-stream of the Stream Awards 2025 (not to be confused with QTCinderella’s event), he received over 75,700 Peak Viewers.

#7 Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler

Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler began his career mostly dealing with the mobile game Clash Royale in 2016. Uploading videos to YouTube, he slowly built a name for himself on the platform and also began to actively stream on Twitch the same year. With six different YouTube channels, Trymacs is a prolific creator who covers a wide variety of topics.

Trymacs is one of Germany’s most recognisable gaming creators for younger generations

Trymacs is no newcomer to the top of livestreaming rankings. He has previously been one of Twitch’s most-subscribed creators, and his Twitch channel’s all-time record stands at over 290,000 Peak Viewers for a special unboxing stream in 2021.

Throughout 2025, he was active nearly the entire year. His most popular content remained Clash Royale, followed by Special Events and some Fortnite content. At peak, he reached over 159,000 Peak Viewers while training for a Clash Royale tournament organized by the platform-leading American streamer Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart.

#6 Frederik “NoWay4u_Sir” Hinteregger

Frederik “NoWay4u_Sir” Hinteregger has been a fixture of the German League of Legends scene since the early days of Twitch. His calm, analytical personality and mechanical prowess made him one of the MOBA’s most popular creators in Europe, all while he competed in Europe’s regional LoL esports scene.

NoWay4u_Sir has long dominated the LoL livestreaming scene with his competitive content

In 2025, his content remained focused on competitive gameplay, ranked sessions and analysis-driven reactions to other matches. His disciplined, regular streaming schedule often aligned with major esports moments in the League of Legends calendar, and his credibility within the LoL community helped him approach 28,500,000 Hours Watched.

His top peak concurrent viewership for the year came out at just over 30,500 Peak Viewers, but he maintained a strong average viewership over a longer time compared to other creators lower on this ranking.

#5 zarbex

Zarbex is a German creator who has been creating content for a long time. After years of work, he began getting noticed while working with other German YouTubers, like KuchenTV and later Filow. In 2020, he began to upload content to YouTube, but livestreaming on Twitch is where he would find real success.

Zarbex broke out into livestreaming with an explosive debut in 2024

Diving deeper into the livestreaming scene in 2024, zarbex began to pick up traction on Twitch and quickly saw his audience rapidly expand. At the beginning of the year he was struggling to reach 1,000 Average Viewers, but was easily passing 10,000 by December; for his efforts throughout the year, he won the Best Newcomer award at the Stream Awards 2024.

2025 has only continued this upwards trend for zarbex in livestreaming. His viewership has continued to increase, now consistently earning five-figure viewerships. This year, he repeatedly set new personal records for himself, breaking 50,000 viewers for the first time in January, and then repeating this feat multiple times throughout the year. In May, he received over 60,500 Peak Viewers for a special talent show, hosted together with MontanaBlack88.

#4 Erik “GRONKH” Range

Erik “GRONKH” Range is widely regarded as one of the founding figures of German gaming content, having started his YouTube career during the platform’s infancy. Having already gained some recognition in traditional media roles for the games industry, his move into livestreaming came naturally. Gronkh transitioned to modern content creation on YouTube and quickly became the face of Let’s Plays in the early days of the platform.

Gronkh has a long history at the front of Germany’s gaming and livestreaming spheres

Although he still streams games on Twitch, his most popular content of the year were his Special Events streams, featuring charity events like Friendly Fire 11, streams for holidays like New Year’s, and reactions to events like the Summer Games Fest. His appeal lies in consistency and trust rather than trend-chasing, a strategy that continues to deliver strong cumulative watch time even as the broader streaming landscape evolves.

He also operates a secondary channel, GronkhTV, which streams 24/7 from the creator’s extensive library of content. This secondary channel provided a significant boost to Gronkh’s overall viewership for 2025, matching 64% of the viewership generated by his main channel. It also managed this despite recorded 92% fewer Average Viewers than his main broadcast, a testament to the power of 24/7 operations in livestreaming.

#3 Mark “ohnePixel” Zimmermann

Top German streamers of 2025, #3: OhnePixel

Mark “ohnePixel” Zimmermann built his reputation within the Counter-Strike ecosystem, initially gaining traction through skin-related content before expanding into full-scale CS esports coverage. In just a few short years, Ohne has catapulted himself to the top of Germany’s industry, and interestingly, he was the only German influencer here to stream for an English-language audience.

OhnePixel is the top English-language and esports German streamer of 2025; let that simmer

While many would relate Ohne to his skins content, his esports co-streaming broadcasts were his most popular content of the year. Some of the most exciting tournaments saw Ohne receive over 100,000 average concurrent viewers for broadcasts over eight hours long. These waves of high viewership for event finals and special moments helped Ohne record the highest average viewership of any German streamer: over 35,000 Average Viewers for the entirety of 2025.

Ohne also recorded the highest peak viewership of any German streamer in 2025; during IEM Dallas 2025, Ohne received over 304,000 Peak Viewers during Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev’s debut for FaZe Clan. The German creator also experimented with multistreaming some esports events to YouTube Gaming during the latter half of 2025, receiving just shy of 30,000 PV during the StarLadder Budapest Major.

#2 Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller

Top German streamers of 2025, #2: PapaPlatte

Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller rose to prominence through YouTube before becoming one of Germany’s most influential Twitch creators, particularly within the Just Chatting and variety categories. His success is rooted in humor, relatability and his constant stream of new ideas and content.

Papaplatte ranked as the 10th most popular Twitch streamer platform-wide for 2025

Papaplatte has over a decade of history in livestreaming, but 2025 still managed to be one of his most successful years yet. He participated in internet phenomena like the yearly r/place project from Reddit, held IRL tours and special trips, and hosted charity livestreaming events. The creator’s content is too multifaceted to sum up entirely, but at every step of the way, tens of thousands of Germans followed Papaplatte.

Throughout the entire year, the German creator received over 54,000,000 Hours Watched and reached over 100,000 live concurrent viewers a couple of times. In terms of popularity among German livestreaming fans, Papaplatte came behind only one other streamer this year.

#1 Elias “EliasN97” Nerlich

Top German streamers of 2025, #1: EliasN97

Elias “EliasN97” Nerlich claims the top spot as Germany’s most-watched streamer of 2025, driven primarily by extraordinary consistency and long broadcast hours. After gradually building his audience through frequent Twitch sessions, he has emerged as one of the platform’s most reliable generators of watch time.

Elias Nerlich is the top German streamer with over 12,000,000 more Hours Watched than second place

While Elias was not the streamer with the most broadcasting time on our top 10 ranking — that honour went to NoWay4u_Sir with almost 2,500 hours live in 2025 — he still broadcasted the most among the top three creators. Elias continued to stream constant, fresh content throughout the entire year, while crucially, still maintaining an average viewership of over 33,000 concurrent German-speaking fans. This support was enough to launch Elias to the #8 spot on Twitch’s platform-wide rankings for the year.

Elias’ Special Events made up his most popular content of the year, which included, but was not limited to, coverage of The Icon League, a media football league similar in spirit to the Kings League which Elias owns a stake of. His coverage of matches from the league were highly popular, and he was essentially the default broadcasting option for following the games. This year, more and more investors joined the circuit, including Jürgen Klopp, the former coach of Liverpool FC, Borussia Dortmund, and Mainz 05.

Most watched German streamers of 2025

Elias’ most popular content of the year was his ‘Eligella Summer Games’ event, which reached over 147,800 Peak Viewers during the final games of the collaborative stream. Thanks to this tournament, and the countless other challenges, sports, and special events broadcasted on Elias’ channel, he accumulated over 66,640,000 Hours Watched for 2025.
