The livestreaming industry in India remains dominated by YouTube Live, a fact seen in our ranking of the country's top streamers in April 2026. All entries below come from the red platform, with the Indian Premier League (IPL) helping Sports content, one of the top genres in the market, see a monthly jump of 5.37%.
The preferences of Indian audiences are not dissimilar to those of another massive market, Brazil, reiterating the two nations' shared cultural and social diversity and longstanding geopolitical relations. Religious, sports, video gaming, and political content dominate the landscape on both sides, and Streams Charts ranks the top content creators in India based on watch time and live viewers.
Who were the most-watched Indian streamers in April 2026?

Iqbal Sports, a popular cricket analytics channel run by Mohammed Iqbal, tops this list with 5.28 million Hours Watched (HW) in April 2026. He has utilized cricket's massive popularity in the South Asian country by providing in-depth analysis and insightful commentary, including during live matches, to reach one of the biggest communities in India's online space.
In second place is the official channel Pandit Pradeep Ji Mishra Sehore Wale, a prominent Hindu spiritual speaker and religious exponent whose hymns on YouTube have become extremely popular in the country. Religion is another massively popular community in India, with millions discussing and sharing their views on faith daily. Pandit Pradeep Mishra has emerged as a highly sought-after guru for millions after bursting onto the YouTube scene with his daily sermons.
Rounding off the podium is Yash "LoLzZz Gaming" Thakker, if not India's most famous, then its most-watched video gaming creator. His daily hustle has resulted in the YouTube star consistently making our monthly YouTube Gaming rankings as well, with the cream of his content coming from Battlegrounds Mobile India. Interestingly, the Gujarat native primarily gets his viewership not from covering esports tournaments but by streaming challenges, rank pushes and collaborations, with his aggressive gameplay and high-kill matches making him an audience favorite.
A few more religious channels take up the next few entries on this top-ten leaderboard. VOICE OF VALIYUDHEEN FAIZY is a channel dedicated to Ustad Waliuddin Faizi's lectures, advice, and other useful dhikrs and duas for his Muslim followers. He is joined by two channels dedicated to the revered Hindu saint Premanand Ji Maharaj, Shri Radha Vallabh and VrindavanPremRas, alongside Christian pastor P. J. STEPHEN PAUL.
Classy Bhava Kitchen and Taramadhu ki Rasoi are more niche channels that focus on cooking. The former is run by Shivangee, an "MBA Lecturer & Personality Development Trainer by profession & a full on food enthusiast." It focuses on high-quality, restaurant-style, and budget-friendly recipes, specializing in both classic and modern, easy-to-recreate dishes, particularly cakes and baked goods.
Ruby is the host of Taramadhu ki Rasoi, which specializes in content related to healthy and innovative cooking. She recreates and cooks/bakes vegetarian cuisine with easily available ingredients. The channel features a wide variety of traditional and modern Indian recipes, with Ruby also frequently posting "five-minute" breakfast ideas and simple vegetarian lunch options.
Last but not least is another sports channel, mostly cricket-centric, AB Cricinfo. Fans flock to this popular channel for its energetic, humorous, and commentary-driven analysis of cricket matches. It also offers live reactions, news updates, and in-depth player/team retrospectives, particularly covering prominent Indian cricket players.
Who were the most popular Indian streamers in April 2026?

While the watch time list focuses on cumulative viewership, reflecting a creator's ability to engage audiences over a long period, concurrent viewership data shows a channel's ability to hit high single-moment spikes during a live stream. In this regard, education-related content ruled the roost here, with as many as four channels making the cut.
Motion - NV Sir, run by Educator & Founder, Nitin Vijay, made this list's top three with 107,259 PV. He was joined by fellow education influencer Alakh Pandey, whose Competition Wallah, PW Class 9 - NEEV and JEE Wallah channels made the cut, reinforcing his status as India's premier EdTech platform creator.
Comedian Samay Raina topped the leaderboard, reaching 172,663 Peak Viewers (PV) during the full, free release of his comedy special, Still Alive, on his YouTube channel. This came on the back of a few controversies that the Jammu native, also a chess influencer, had to face, resulting in a long hiatus that was ended with this show, leading to higher anticipation among fans.
Professional gamers Abhishek "ZGOD GAMING" Choudhary and Jonathan "JONATHAN GAMING" Amaral represent the video gaming community on this list. The former reached over 67K concurrent viewers during a sponsored stream that also involved gameplay of BGMI.
Jonathan, one of India's most famous pro players, saw a broadcast peak at 106,771 viewers during a highly lucrative UC crate opening. UC is the premium in-game currency for Battlegrounds Mobile India, and it can be used to purchase high-tier cosmetics, weapon skins, and Elite Royale Passes, which is what the influencer did in front of his audience.
Last but not least comes the official channel of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He addressed the nation on April 18, discussing the recent Women's Reservation Bill that was defeated in the Lok Sabha and vowing to remove obstacles to women's representation.
Which were the top Indian esports channels in April 2026?

A look at the Streams Charts database for Indian esports channels shows that there are just a handful of studio channels operating in the country. Nevertheless, these channels tend to do well during big tournaments, even appearing in our monthly YouTube Gaming rankings by watch time.
Last month, the most-watched Indian esports channel was Free Fire MAX Esports India Official. Garena's battle royale shooter remains popular in the country, and there were two more entries covering the game that made this list: UPTHRUST ESPORTS and UPTHRUST ESPORTS FREE FIRE MAX. The focus of these channels was competitions such as the Free Fire MAX India Cup 2026 Spring, which served as a qualifier for the Free Fire MAX Asia Invitational 2026 Spring.
Battlegrounds Mobile India, too, had a few channels covering the action. Alongside Free Fire, UPTHRUST ESPORTS FREE FIRE MAX also covered its own BGMI event, the Upthrust Esports India Rising Series 2026. ORION ESPORTS, iQOO ESPORTS and KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS covered some competitive action from the Indian version of PUBG Mobile at some point in April 2026.

Only a handful of Indian esports channels crossed the 20,000 PV mark, with coverage of the Free Fire MAX India Cup 2026 Spring emerging as the unsurprising leader. The Free Fire MAX Esports India Official channel reached 103,365 PV during the Champion Rush phase of the Grand Finals.
India's livestreaming landscape remains intrinsically linked to topics that matter most to its diverse society, including cricket, politics, religion, and education. These genres are what attract the most attention from the public, and this is reflected in the viewership that we see across platforms, especially on the nation's top choice, YouTube.
