The Z Event 2026 was held from September 3 to 6, collecting over €30 million for various charities. It became just the second streaming marathon in the series to surpass 1 million Peak Viewers, according to Streams Charts, marking a fitting end to an event that became one of the most beloved annual traditions in livestreaming.
Z Event 2026 almost set new series viewership record

The Z Event 2026 reached 1.3 million Peak Viewers, the second-highest figure in the series. It fell short of matching the record by just 4.6K concurrent viewers, although it did set a new milestone for watch time with 26.18 million Hours Watched.
As many as 354 unique broadcasting channels were part of the action, either directly as participants or through those who community-streamed the marathon. The event's growth every year could be seen in the fact that the number of co-casting channels more than doubled between 2024 and 2026.
As always, all these streams were conducted in French, with no dedicated English-language broadcast despite Twitch creating a dedicated Z Event category for viewers to access any active broadcasts.

Event creator Adrien "ZeratoR" Nougaret was only the second-most popular streamer to broadcast in 2026, his channel peaking at 370.4K PV, a new mark for him this year. Théo "mastu" Becker topped this metric, hitting almost 477K PV, which also set a new personal record as his channel's most popular stream yet.
Mastu held a live raffle to decide which viewer would win a Leo Messi Barcelona jersey, leading to higher engagement. Another top moment saw Maxence "Anyme" Turlot arrive at the venue on a motorcycle accompanied by a massive motorcycle convoy, which many consider as one of the best entrances in Z Event history.

Among all the marathon events recorded in the Streams Charts database, the Z Event series dominates in peak viewers. Six editions sit in the top six, with 2020's Calvogames, a Spanish-language charity gaming tournament organized by David "TheGrefg" Cánovas, the first non-Z Event to find a spot in the top ten.

The latest edition of the popular Z Event series brought together dozens of leading French content creators for three days of charity broadcasts on Twitch. It collected €32,891,874, more than double the record set last year, and this amount will be distributed to all 22 associations supported since the inaugural edition in 2016.

The Z Event raised more than €90 million since its launch, including the milestone for the largest sum ever collected during a charity livestream marathon in 2025. This year was announced as the final edition, thus including a concert in Montpellier that kicked things off on September 3, before the main streaming marathon ran from Friday, September 4, through Sunday, September 6.

* The Z Event was not held in 2023 as the creators took a temporary pause to restructure the event's format
The concert at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier, France, saw performances from GIMS, Gazo, L’Orchestre Curieux, and Bigflo & Oli. The main marathon, meanwhile, combined gaming broadcasts, collaborative shows, challenges, and donation goals designed to encourage viewers to support the charitable causes.
Billed as the final event in the popular charity marathon series, the Z Event 2026 lived up to its billing, raising a record amount and leaving fans with countless moments from its ten editions. The organizers hinted at similar future endeavors, even if not under the same banner, so it remains to be seen what the French livestreaming community comes up with next.
