Streams Charts has made it a monthly exercise to provide readers with rankings about streamers on various platforms using different metrics. This article will talk about the online personalities with the most-watched sponsored content on Twitch and YouTube from April, with there being some familiar names from previous months and a few new companies trying to use content creators to push their brands, including one online merch site and another that is popular for its international array of sweets and drinks.
Most watched sponsored Twitch streams in April 2023
In the top spot is the April 5 broadcast of xRohat that saw him team up with German worldwide sweets and drinks website KingCans. It did 462K Hours Watched thanks to an airtime of over 36 hours, making it a ‘submarathon,’ in the creator’s own words. This was the first German-language entry in this list over the first four months of the year and surprisingly not the only one for April.
Next comes Kamet0, whose broadcast in partnership with Logitech recorded 312K HW, which included watching the VCT EMEA 2023 Week 5 meeting between Karmine Corp and KOI. What was of note is that the Frenchman’s stream lasted all of four hours, showing the pull that the two famous European organizations — with the former owned by the Frenchman himself — have in the European market and helping the computer peripherals and software manufacturer reach a much wider audience.
In the third spot is summit1g with 290K HW that was registered during a CS:GO Cash Cup event where he was also promoting one of his main sponsors since 2020, G FUEL. Cash Cups were started in January 2022 for women’s teams added to ESEA, where these all-women rosters compete twice a month for a $4,500 prize pool (split between Europe, North America, South Africa, South America, Asia, and Oceania).
Coming forth is shroud, who notched 246K HW thanks to his sponsored stream of Dead Island 2. It was a partnered stream alongside Epic Games, which is distributing the title on its online store, and provided the legendary ex-CS:GO pro with early access to the newest installment in the famous horror action role-playing series. The Canadian also played Diablo IV, which is another game he has been increasingly giving attention to recently.
Rounding out the top 5 sponsored Twitch streams is once again xRohat, with another one of their marathon streams, which collected 212K HW. During this broadcast, he also advertised King Cans, but in addition to it, two more entities were promoted: the worldwide popular game PUBG Mobile, as well as a German GTA 5 RP server named Majestic. As one can see, xRohat's April streams were extremely successful for its sponsors.
Most watched sponsored YouTube Gaming streams in April 2023
Heading the YouTube Gaming list is Typical Gamer, who promoted Fortnite's new update that brought Attack on Titan to The Island. The famous Canadian also gave a shoutout to the Gillette Face Off Champions, a competitive PvP event in a creative map code where eight teams of two each battled it out in two playable arenas, with the last side alive winning. The stream did 47K HW, almost 350% higher than the second place on this list.
Next comes March’s topper, Sykkuno, who hit 14K HW via another Yu-Gi-Oh! Online: Duel Evolution broadcast that also involved him playing the FPS title, Deceive Inc., with Disguised Toast and Abe. Interestingly, it started on March 31 and spilled over into April 1, with the popular industry face promoting CyberPowerPC, the custom PC builder, and Mavix’s M9 Gaming Chair, handing out discount codes to viewers for both sites in case they made purchases.
CouRage is third thanks to a Fortnite stream that also involved promoting FactorMeals, which promises healthy, fully-prepared food delivered to customers’ doorsteps. The company has been getting some good reviews for its work, and the content creator provided discount coupons to prospective customers watching his broadcast, which recorded 8.6K HW.
Coming in the fourth position is fuslie, who has maintained her run of making this list through the year. This time, it was for playing Dead Island 2 which she was trying out for the first time. The American also played some Valorant with her friends at the end of the broadcast, which registered 5K HW.
Last comes DrLupo, whose April 13 stream promoting Caliber on Steam got 4.9K HW. It is a free-to-play, team-based, tactical third-person shooter released a day before this broadcast. The American content creator also played Minecraft in the video, which undoubtedly would have helped him gain additional eyeballs.
Unlike the previous months, April’s YouTube top five — apart from the top spot — recorded lower watch hours, while the opposite was true for Twitch. Also, the same names repeat more often in the former, showing that it is easier to get promoted streams from brands if it is an established internet personality on the red platform.
