The new year has gotten off to quite the start, meaning brands and companies have had a great time promoting themselves and their products. Some of the most prominent names that reach out to global viewers via these famous streamers are Samsung, G FUEL, and Electronic Arts.

One good way for content creators to reach a larger audience and perhaps reach the next level when it comes to attracting more people to their live broadcasts is via sponsored streams. In January 2024, the likes of hJuneJynxzi, and penguinz0 benefitted the most from this exercise, emerging as some of the most-watched influencers with sponsored content during these 31 days.

At the number one position is HJune, whose live stream of Rust, aimed to raise money for the Cancer Research UK charity, hit almost 1.5M Hours Watched. It is part of the campaign where 200 of Rust's biggest creators globally have come together to help save lives through research, influence, and information, and those interested in contributing to this cause can also head here to do so. The drops available also helped it do a lot better than any other entry on this top five Twitch list.

Next is LVNDMARK, the Escape from Tarkov and FPS streamer whose sponsored broadcast with G FUEL hit 936.8K HW. This 24-hour run that saw him play this multiplayer tactical first-person shooter also had drops available, making it instantly more attractive for viewers and helping it become his most successful video for 2024.

Third is WillerZ with his stream of Escape from Tarkov that was also drops enabled. It was a sponsored stream for NordVPN, one of the top such service providers worldwide that also has many of its fingers in the esports pie. This was also the most popular broadcast on this list, hitting 90.2K Peak Viewers and ending as his second-most successful video ever.

Jynxzi comes fourth thanks to his live broadcast of the $50K prize pool Xbox Pro League for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It was sponsored by Youtooz Collectibles, which makes anything that has trended on the internet into a collectible item. Thanks to his high knowledge and talented playstyle in this popular FPS offering, it ended as the American's fourth-most viewed stream ever.

Last comes EliasN97, who organized an inter-streamer Minecraft competition called Eligella that carried a huge purse of €40K. One of the brands for which he is a brand ambassador, Adidas, was also a sponsor at this event as it promoted its Predator series of football boots. The tournament saw influencer teams of seven compete against each other to complete various tasks within a set time window.

First is Penguinz0, the YouTube channel of popular content creator MoistCr1TiKaL, known for his commentary videos and live streams that cover various internet culture trends and video games. His broadcast of the much-anticipated Tekken 8, released on January 25, was the only other sponsored one on the platform to accrue over 10M HW.

Sykkuno comes second with his sponsored stream of the PUBG Mobile competition for the #PlayGalaxy Cup. It was held by Samsung Electronics, who invited gamers from around the world to San Jose, California, on January 20 to compete against each other in the Battle Royale title and showcase the gaming performance of the Galaxy S24 series.

LilAggy's live stream from January 27 promoting the newly-released Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is next. This action-adventure RPG game came out on the same day as Tekken 8 and has so far received very positive responses from players.

Fourth is Fuslie, another gaming influencer called up by Samsung to participate in its #PlayGalaxy Cup. She and Sykkuno are pretty closely attached at the hip and can often be found playing games together when live on air.

Last comes The Gaming Merchant and his broadcast of the new Limited Time Mode that was part of the Apex Legends Final Fantasy Event launched on January 9. This crossover between the two highly-touted franchises — which will run till the end of this month — also benefitted Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which will be released later in February.

As has been the case with these monthly lists, English was the dominant language, indicative of where the power center lies on these two leaders in the streaming services industry. This also means that more of the prominent brands jump onto the bandwagon here and associate with online stars who can pull in more viewers and give them more traction.
