Several positions in the top rankings were claimed by VTubers, led by Kuzuha and Pekora, and the top-10 also featured a streamer from India who hosts Battlegrounds Mobile India broadcasts.
Most-watched YouTube Gaming streamers in January 2024
In January 2024, the Brazilian star NOBRU secured the top spot as the most-watched streamer on YouTube Gaming. Over the past month, his channel garnered over 4M Hours Watched, a staggering 188% increase from December 2023. Primarily featured in NOBRU's broadcasts was Garena Free Fire, the game that marked the beginning of his esports career in 2019.
Taking the second position in the rankings is the flamboyant American streamer DrDisRespect, known for his love of shooters and battle royales. In January, his channel accumulated 3.8M HW, largely attributed to broadcasts of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Escape from Tarkov.
Claiming the third spot for the month is the Spanish streamer Nexxuz World, specializing in broadcasts from RP servers in Grand Theft Auto V. In the first month of the year, this streamer generated over 3.5M HW, delving into the criminal world of Los Santos.
Securing the fourth position is Kuzuha Channel, a popular YouTuber from Japan representing the agency NIJISANJI. Throughout the month, he actively played Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, League of Legends, Apex Legends, and other titles, resulting in his YouTube channel amassing 3.3M HW. This reflects a 34% increase compared to the previous month.
Japanese YouTuber Pekora Ch from the hololive agency emerged as the most-watched female streamer on YouTube in January 2024. Over the month, she accumulated 3.3M HW. Pekora predominantly streamed Terraria, and also ventured into playing Palworld, a popular new release from Pocket Pair.
Following Pekora, two more Japanese VTubers — Koyori and Miko — secured positions in the top rankings. Throughout the month, both hololive representatives played various titles, including Palworld, and garnered 2.7M and 2.6M HW, respectively. It's worth noting that among all streamers in the top ten, Koyori has the highest live-streaming airtime, with almost 213 hours of live broadcasts.
The lively and flamboyant IShowSpeed claimed the eighth spot in the rankings with 2.5M HW. Essentially, the YouTuber replicated his own December performance. Notably, IShowSpeed achieved the best peak online viewership for the month (190.4K Peak Viewers during his birthday stream) among all streamers in the top 10.
Indonesian streamer Windah Basudara accumulated 2.4M HW in January 2024. Primarily on his YouTube channel, he streamed Grand Theft Auto V, Tekken 8, and other titles, including indie games and various simulators. Closing out the top ten is LoLzZz Gaming from India. Last month, he garnered 2.3M HW, thanks to broadcasts of Battlegrounds Mobile India.
