Nintendo dominated April’s YouTube Gaming rankings, with three official channels landing spots among the most popular organizational channels. The surge in viewership isn’t surprising — millions tuned in worldwide for the much-anticipated reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 handheld console. Curious about who were the most popular channels on YouTube? Check out the full YouTube Gaming April update from Streams Charts.
Topping the April chart was Nintendo of America, which hit an all-time high with nearly 1.3 million peak viewers during the showcase. Interestingly, the official Japanese Nintendo channel pulled even bigger numbers, peaking at 2.49 million concurrent viewers. However, since most of that audience came from the Entertainment category — not YouTube Gaming — it ranked third in this specific list, with a peak of 547,000 viewers counted under Gaming.
MPL Indonesia pulled in an impressive 761,000 peak viewers during the grand finals of the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: Mobile Masters 2025. In case you missed it, ONIC Philippines claimed victory over RRQ Hoshi with a 4–1 score in the championship match.
The top 10 organizational channels also featured broadcasts from Korea’s LCK League for League of Legends. The Brawl Stars channel drew a sizable audience with its latest Brawl Talks episode, while KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS earned its spot thanks to the grand finals stream of BGSI 2025. Clearly, YouTube Gaming wasn’t just about major game reveals in April — esports content was front and center as well.
When it comes to streamers, Darren ''iShowSpeed'' Watkins Jr led the pack on YouTube Gaming in April, peaking at 253,000 viewers during an IRL broadcast from China.

Coming in second was popular Japanese VTuber Gawr Gura, who announced her departure from the Hololive agency on April 16, citing creative differences with management. As a farewell to her fans, she released an original song titled Ash Again, along with a special music video. Interestingly, Gawr Gura wasn’t the only VTuber to make waves — four other Japanese VTubers also appeared in April’s top YouTube Gaming streamers list.
Another standout this month was Gyan Gaming, one of India’s most popular gaming YouTubers, boasting over 17 million subscribers. His creator, Ankit Sujan, was seriously injured in a car accident a year ago, which resulted in the loss of his leg. After a long year of recovery and rehabilitation, he made a powerful return to streaming with his first live broadcast on April 7. The stream peaked at 132,000 viewers — marking the most-popular moment in the channel’s history.
