Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl III is the third tournament held by renowned streaming platform and the NFL Players Association. The event was divided into several stages, with its main one being played on February 10 in Los Angeles, where participants traditionally fought in Fortnite in trios. Popular streamers, talented players from the community, as well as NFL stars took part in the competition. The prize fund of the tournament amounted to $1M, which will be donated to charity.

Before the main battle in Los Angeles, the organizers held two preliminary Combine events. A total of $70K was raffled among the participants (this money went to the players themselves and not to charity). Both tournaments had an identical format: only players from the community played in the first stage (anyone could apply for participation) whereas the NFL athletes fought in the second one, and streamers met in the third one.

The first tournament of the Combine series was held from January 18 to 19. Taking part in it were famous Fortnite streamers such as SypherPK, Loserfruit, and Aydan. All the members were streaming their battles, so enough attention was drawn to the Streamer Bowl. The event attracted a total of 51K Peak Viewers.

The audience was not only English-speaking, but also Spanish-speaking thanks to the streamer pgod attracting 2.3K Peak Viewers. It should be noted that in addition to content creators, the tournament could be watched on the official Twitch Rivals channel, which also became the tournament’s most popular one with 21.3K Peak Viewers.

The second part of Combine overtook the first one by 184% in terms of Peak Viewers. This was mostly due to more famous participants: clix, tfue, swagg, and elded took part in the event, and these personalities are known to any English-speaking Fortnite fan.

Having previously gained immense popularity among Warzone fans, Nickmercs became the leader in terms of Peak Viewers. Now Nick is trying other battle royales: first, there was Apex Legends, and now Fortnite, where he was watched by 39K Peak Viewers. Despite the Combine-series being only a preparation for the main stage, it has already shown good results compared to previous seasons.

The main event took place on February 10 in Los Angeles. A total of 60 participants took part in it: 20 streamers, 20 NFL stars, and 20 community champions. The venue was particularly notable: it was a huge room with seats for each of the tournament participants. Also present at the tournament were interviewers who spoke to the Fortnite stars live. This essentially means the organizers of the Streamer Bowl tried their best to convey the atmosphere of the tournaments before the pandemic.

The tournament consisted of several stages: the first part was a mobile challenge supported by Samsung, where streamers played Fortnite on mobile devices. The main competition was divided into two halves with a break between them, as well as the final. To keep viewers glued to the broadcasts, Twitch Drops with special customized emotes were available, which directly affected viewership statistics.
