Twitch has improved the reporting option by making the interface more user-friendly and intuitive. The innovations are already available for the web version, and in the next few weeks they will appear on mobile devices. The platform notified the streamers about it by email.
The developers of the platform have updated the design, and also made it easier to find the cause for reports and fill out a form with details about the violation. It was done to make it easier for the viewer to file a report, and Twitch staff could examine it faster. A complete update to the reporting functionality is planned for the next few months.
"It includes a new search functionality to help you find the exact report reason you’re looking for, as well as tailored menus based on whether you’re reporting live content, VODs, or clips."
Twitch has also launched a special page where users can file appeals and monitor the appeal process. However, streamers will not be able to appeal strikes received for violating the DMCA, as it is the responsibility of the content rights holder, not Twitch officials.
Earlier, Twitch had updated its policy on misinformation. Read more about it in our article.
