American streamer Adin Ross set a new personal record for the number of viewers. On February 5, his Kick broadcast was watched by more than 487K Peak Viewers. The cause of such excitement was the appearance of a star guest on Ross's broadcast: the popular rapper Playboi Carti, who rarely grants interviews to the media. However, the stream turned into a scandal.
The day before the broadcast, Adin Ross intrigued viewers with a tweet confessing that he paid Playboi Carti a huge sum for the joint stream — $2 million in cash. Given Playboi Carti's privacy, this caused a real uproar on social media. Adin Ross's fans were anticipating a super exclusive show, as the streamer had previously hosted similar broadcasts with Chris Brown, 21 Savage, Rick Ross, and other star rappers. In reality, it didn't turn out as joyous as viewers had imagined.
Playboi Carti did appear on the Adin Ross broadcast, but not for long. First, the rapper had a few words with the streamer, then Adin Ross solemnly handed him a big bag with money, and a few minutes after that Playboi Carti said goodbye and left. This super short cameo shocked both the streamer and his viewers.

Immediately after Playboi Carti's departure, online discussions about what had happened began buzzing. Many viewers started joking that the rapper literally "robbed" the streamer live on air. Others doubted that Adin Ross paid the performer such a huge amount. The streamer's fans agreed on one thing for sure — he should choose his guests more carefully in the future.
However, from a statistical standpoint, Ross's livestream was more than successful. In terms of peak viewership, it became the most popular English-language stream on Kick and he also secured a spot in top 10 of the most popular English-language streamers worldwide (across all platforms). From the tenth place, he managed to displace The Pat McAfee Show, who gathered 486K PV on March 2023.
