Streams Charts continues to summarize the results of Q3. In the new article, we will look at the most popular English-speaking Twitch streamers, their audience overlapping, the most popular categories, and the male-to-female ratio in the top.
The ranking of the top 100 English-speaking streamers was compiled based on their Hours Watched for the Q3, 2021 (July-September) – while excluding the studio and community channels such as ESL_CSGO and Fextralife.
The top 100 streamers amassed 708M Hours Watched over three months, spending a total of 57.7K hours on the air. The 100 most popular content creators accounted for more than 25% of the total Hours Watched of English-language channels.
Total Hours Watched indicator of the top 100 streamers is 20% lower than it was in Q2, 2021, although they were on air 3.2% longer. 96.1% of this indicator was brought by male streamers and 3.9% by female streamers.
Of the top 100 streamers, 64 content creators from the United States of America contributed 65.1% of Hours Watched. Following them in terms of contribution (15.6%) are Canadians – a total of ten of them in the ranking. The third group of streamers by Hours Watched would be the one from Sweden, six people total, who contributed 6.2% of the total Hours Watched.

We’ve checked which categories were the most popular among the viewers of the streamers. The audience of male streamers mostly enjoyed GTA V (13.7% of total Hours Watched) Just Chatting streams (13.1%). The third spot among the categories was taken by the shooter Apex Legends (8.5%).
Female streamers generated 14.7% fewer Hours Watched than in Q2, 2021. At the same time, their #1 category has changed from Just Chatting to ASMR (which brought 32.2% of the total Hours Watched). When it comes to the game titles among female streamers, VALORANT is in the lead, being responsible for 20.7% of the total amount.
In terms of airtime among men, GTA V and CoD: Warzone are in the lead: 13.5% and 8.2% from total, respectively. For women, the situation is different: Just Chatting (34.8%) and ASMR (26.4%) became the top categories in terms of airtime.
The most popular English-speaking streamers on Twitch in Q3 2021
Felix xQcOW Lengyel became the most popular English-speaking streamer in Q3. He stayed on the air for 820 hours over these three months and generated 48.8M Hours Watched, remaining the leader of the platform. The second spot went to Asmongold, although he did not make it into the top 10 in Q3, 2021. Among the top 10 most popular streamers, he was on the air the least (336 hours), but at the same time amassed 23.8M Hours Watched. In Q3, Asmongold temporarily stopped streaming in his usual World of Warcraft category as part of his protest against Blizzard. Zack switched to another online game, Final Fantasy 14, and in doing so, single-handedly made it one of the top titles of the platform. Read more about the “power of Asmongold” in this article.
TrainwrecksTV is another newcomer to our top. In Q3, he was on the air for 868 hours and generated 23.7M Hours Watched, but was streaming in a category unusual for himself – Slots (i.e. gambling).
The most popular female streamers in Q3 2021
The top 100 most popular streamers in Q3, 2021 included only five girls. The leader among them was Kaitlyn Amouranth Siragusa, who mainly streams in the Just Chatting and ASMR categories. Kaitlyn has been on the air for the longest time in the past three months at 1,011 hours. During this time, she generated 12.1M Hours Watched.
