Last weekend was a treat for fans of team-based shooters, as ARC Raiders held its open beta. The long-awaited title from Embark Studios is set to launch at the end of October, and to prepare for release, the developers hosted the Arc Server Slam — a large-scale test aimed at finding and fixing any technical issues ahead of time. The three-day event made quite an impression on the livestreaming community.
ARC Raiders is an upcoming third-person extraction shooter being developed and published by Embark Studios. The gameplay is PvPvE (player versus player versus environment) and can be played in teams of three, two, or solo. The players venture from an underground base to scavenge the planet’s surface for 30 minutes, where they face hostile robots and other players, risking their loot unless it’s stored in a safe pocket. Extraction points include elevators, metro stations, or special raider hatches that require keys.
Back at the base, players can sell loot, upgrade perks, craft gear, and prepare for the next raid. Solo matchmaking generally pairs players with other solos for fairer PvP encounters, though balance isn’t guaranteed.
The ARC Raiders Server Slam ran from October 17 through 19, giving everyone who pre-ordered the game a chance to jump in. Many well-known streamers and content creators joined the test and quickly went live to share their first impressions.
During the three-day Server Slam, ARC Raiders streams on Twitch racked up over 6.2 million hours of watch time. This made it the second most-watched game on the platform during that period, only trailing League of Legends, which was broadcasting the 2025 World Championship.

Throughout the test, the ARC Raiders category on Twitch ranked second for both average and peak viewers, once again behind only League of Legends. At peak, it was the fourth most-streamed game in terms of the number of active channels.
Among top streamers, Canadian Michael “shroud” Grzesiek was the most active, with his ARC Raiders streams alongside Tony “LVNDMARK” totaling 882,400 hours of watch time. The highest peak viewership went to Polish streamer mamm0n, who attracted over 205,600 viewers on his Kick channel, setting a new personal record on the platform.
