Arcane Season 2 on Twitch: All You Need to Know

Arcane Season 2 on Twitch: All You Need to Know
Share:

It's Arcane season again, and fans can't wait to watch their favorite show based on their favorite game after a gap of three years. The animated series from Netflix based on League of Legends lore was a massive hit when it debuted near the end of the pandemic era in late 2021, and after a long wait, the second season is almost here.

Arcane Season 2 will be released in three Acts this month — November 9, 16, and 23 — and serve as the series' final chapter. For fans who love extra content, Afterglow, the official postshow with talent, showrunners, and special guests, will also be coming soon.

During a League Dev Update, series co-creator Christian Linke said that Arcane is just the first of many stories in Runterra.

"Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche Production. From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of ARCANE wraps up with this second season. But ARCANE is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra."

Season 1 had many League of Legends champions appear, including Powder/Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Ekko, Jayce, Singed, Heimerdinger, Vander, and Viktor. Fans can expect to see more such prominent characters make their presence felt in the upcoming season.

While the episodes of Arcane Season 2 will be available on Netflix, followers can also catch them on livestreaming services. After all, many prominent content creators will be co-casting and hosting watch parties, something that helped make the first season such a success.

The new season will be livestreamed by numerous influencers, with the first Act being an entire exercise in itself, labeled the Global Community Premiere. It will start with a special countdown stream at 11 PM PT on November 8, leading into the global premiere of Act 1.

Moreover, viewers tuning into the Global Community Premiere broadcast or any co-stream can score exclusive in-game items via Twitch Drops. All they need to do to unlock these rewards is to ensure their Riot accounts are linked on the connections page.

The rebroadcast of episode 1 of Arcane Season 2 on Riot Games' Twitch channel on November 9 at noon PT will offer Twitch Drops. Interested readers, viewers of the show, and streamers can get all the information on co-streaming, including the list of official Riot channels, and rewards here.

The first season was a massive hit among audiences and long-time gamers, especially of Riot Games' legendary MOBA. The animated series was such a success that it hit 1.83M Peak Viewers during the season premiere on November 07, 2021, and received a genre of its own on Twitch.

What helped was that it was released a day after the Grand Final of the 2021 LoL World Championship, where EDward Gaming beat DAMWON Gaming in a clash between the Chinese and South Korean sides. With the hype from this major competition still lingering, the animated series was able to attract a sizeable audience number.

Some of the most renowned streamers to co-cast Arcane Season 1 were YoDa, Baiano, TheGrefg, xQc, and elxokas. Outside of the English language, the series was especially popular among Brazilian and Hispanic viewers, with many of the premier's most-watched co-casters being Portuguese and Spanish-speaking.

Unlike in 2021, Riot Games has positioned the premiere of its animated series a week after the 2024 League of Legends Worlds Grand Final, which takes place on November 2. Nevertheless, with the anticipation for the second season building over three years, fans will no doubt arrive in droves for the Global Premiere of their favorite show.
