American internet personality and streamer Kai Cenat recently announced his second subathon: the Mafiathon 2. Since announcing the event alongside John Cena on his stream earlier this month, Kai has been subtly advertising the upcoming marathon through murals in Los Angeles, as well as dressing up in a pinstripe suit and flashing a “Mafiathon 2” card at the camera during an NBA game. Considering how record-breaking his last Mafiathon was, the upcoming sequel could be Twitch’s biggest subathon ever.

Kai Cenat has been teasing details for the Mafiathon 2 throughout October
What is Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2?
Mafiathon 2 will be the sequel to Kai Cenat’s first ever subathon. A subathon, a combination of the words subscription and marathon, is a type of marathon livestream event where streamers aim to gain subscribers over an extended streaming session, often an entire month. The concept is simple but highly engaging, and by being live constantly throughout the month, streamers can appeal to international audiences who could tune in at any time.
The streamer’s last subathon event took place in the early months of 2023, and he set the record for Twitch subscriptions at the time with over 306.5K subscriptions by the end of the event. This record has since been broken by Puerto Rican VTuber ironmouse, whose September 2024 subathon recorded 320K subscriptions.

Kai’s most recent stream on October 14 with John Cena reached 273.4K Peak Viewers; at the end of the broadcast, Kai had John Cena bring out a card with the simple message “Mafiathon 2”. Kai did not initially reveal any dates for the subathon, but told his Chat that he would not go live again until the event began.
When does Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 begin?
November 1 was announced as the beginning of Mafiathon 2 on his LA billboard, with the entire month of November mapped out for Kai to stream and entertain his fans. During his previous Mafiathon, the event recorded 6M Unique Viewers and accumulated 45.36M Hours Watched. Since the first Mafiathon, Kai has gained roughly 4M new Twitch Followers, and his constantly growing audience and celebrity status easily means he could break records once again for the purple platform.

Kai officially announced the dates for Mafiathon 2 in an advert with Kim Kardashian
If there were any doubts about internet celebrities achieving status comparable to traditional ones, Kai Cenat managing to have Kim Kardashian make an appearance in his advertisement should dispel these. Kai even indirectly references ironmouse in the video, highlighting his record being broken as a key motivation for the second Mafiathon.
Where to watch Mafiathon 2?
Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 subathon will be hosted on his personal Twitch channel, where viewers can tune in at any point during November 2024 to watch the streamer entertain, sleep, and live. Kai’s previous subathon featured collaborations with world-famous internet personalities, like KSI, Mr. Beast, xQc, and many more.
The previous Mafiathon event was chock-full of activities, featuring impressions, FIFA money matches, and considering Kai Cenat’s growth since the previous event, Mafiathon 2 will likely feature even more exciting and high-budget activities to entertain his fans.
Highest total Subscriptions recorded for Twitch channels of all time
According to the Streams Charts’ most-subscribed Twitch streamers leaderboard, Kai Cenat is currently ranked in the top 30 most-subscribed channels on Twitch. The streamer’s subscriptions have fallen slightly, considering he has not been live for the entire second-half of October. His Mafiathon 2 event will surely see him explode up the leaderboard to contest the current top channel, ironmouse, who is still enjoying high subscriptions from her September subathon.
Mafiathon 2 will begin on Kai Cenat’s channel at 6 PM Eastern Standard Time, on November 1. Streams Charts will track viewership data for Kai throughout the event, and update our readers on when or if Kai breaks Twitch records.
