When Kai Cenat created a record last year during his mafiathon, receiving more subscriptions than any other Twitch steamer, many felt it would be formidable for his colleagues to beat. However, just about 18 months later, it has been surpassed, with the online star to do so adding another feather to her highly laudable cap.
During her annual charity subathon, Ironmouse, one of the most popular VTubers globally, handily beat Kai's mark of 306,621 from March 2023. Her new record now stands at 320,478, making her just the second internet personality to pass the 300K subscribers milestone.
Having started with just a handful of viewers during her live streams, the Puerto Rican-American star — who is bedridden from immunodeficiency — has come a long way, and this latest milestone is another proof of her standing in the community. As mentioned, the subathon was also a charity drive, with half the earnings set to be donated to the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
Interestingly, the live stream of Day 30 of the subathon, when she broke the record, has become her Twitch channel's second most watched and popular one. It was also revealed that this exercise will go on for another week, so there's a chance that more milestones could be broken in the coming days.
The subathon has also put the VShojo VTuber among the ten most-watched English-speaking streamers in September 2024. The table is dominated by content creators from FaZe Clan, who have been busy with a subathon of their own since last month, with Jasontheween especially benefitting from the increased activity.

The, already among the most popular names on Twitch, has ascended a whole new level with her accomplishment, which has garnered praise from the likes of Kai Cenat, Sykkuno, Ludwig, and Valkyrae. With a few more days of non-stop broadcasting still to go, fans must be hoping she can go even further and break a few more records, in the process helping the immunodeficiency charity further its cause.
