The third qualifier, North American one, for the 2022 Balloon World Cup was announced. The event will take place at TwitchCon San Diego on the 7th of October. In order to attend the event, the players would have to be 18+, be a citizen or passport holder from the USA or Canada, have a TwitchCon ticket for October 7th, and complete an inscription form by September 26th.

Despite doing all this not all the players that apply will be able to attend the event since only a select few will be chosen to participate. The format of the event will be similar to the format of past qualifiers, and the winner will gain a ticket to the Balloon World Cup in Barcelona.

This year the Balloon World Cup will have qualifiers in all corners of the globe in order to find the best balloon players in the world, and allow them to qualify for the main event. Spain had its own qualifier in the month of June where one participant was selected to go to Barcelona. The Latin America qualifier took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from the 1st to the 19th of September, and five players from five different countries were selected to attend the Balloon World Cup, where they will represent their respective countries

After this qualifier, only the Chinese and European qualifiers will remain. Both these qualifiers will happen in the month of October, but they still don't have a specific date schedule. We also don't know what will be the exact format of these two qualifiers, but it’s expected they will have a similar format to the Latin America qualifier.
