The event also attracted measurable audiences on South Korean platforms CHZZK and SOOP, with each service accounting for more than 1% of total watch time.

The official Federal Reserve YouTube channel set an all-time concurrent viewership benchmark during the broadcast, peaking at just over 70K PV. This performance surpassed the channel's previous peak by 23.2%, with all of its highest historically recorded viewership peaks coming from FOMC press conferences held between 2023 and 2026.

Kick leads chat activity as “crypto” tops tracked keyword mentions

Compared to the activity these terms received before and after the press conference on the same day, we observe a spike in the number of mentions during the livestream. Fans of these virtual forms of money were keen to know if the policy updates would affect their digital trading habits, and that showed across the three main platforms.

The chatter spike reflected immediate market reactions to the FOMC's monetary policy update. The committee unanimously decided to raise the federal funds lending rate by 25 basis points to a target range of 3.75% to 4.00%, marking the first rate hike in over three years. While equities trended downward following the conference, Bitcoin remained comparatively steady, prompting intense discussion across crypto-native streaming channels.

Real-time economic policy meets creator commentary

The FOMC statement pointed to resilient domestic spending, strong productivity, robust capital investment, and elevated inflation. Separate September projections indicated that policymakers expected further tightening later in the year.

Major macroeconomic announcements can extend well beyond official institutional feeds into the livestreaming ecosystem. Financial and crypto-focused creators add real-time interpretation and community discussion, turning policy announcements into broader livestreaming events.
