Streams Charts has summed up the results of Facebook Gaming in Q3 2022. The most popular streamers for this period are content creators from Vietnam and Jordan, and the top categories of the platform are led by mobile titles: PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends and Garena Free Fire.
Viewership Dynamics by Month
September is the month with lowest viewership results for Facebook Gaming in Q3 2022. In the first month of Fall, platform viewers generated 123.7 million Hours Watched. This is about 16% fewer than the highest total of the whole quarter (147.9 million HW in August). A Peak Viewers number decreased by approximately the same percentage. In August the number was 579.3K PV, but in September it dropped to 490K. The number of Average Viewers and channels also decreased, but the total number of Unique Channels increased from 88K in August to 92K in September.
Top 10 Facebook Gaming Streamers in Q3 2022
The most watched Facebook Gaming streamer in Q3 2022 is Maherco gaming from Jordan. In three months, his channel accumulated 3.5 million HW in the PUBG Mobile. The channel Chim Sẻ Đi Nắng from Vietnam became the best by PV. The streamer, who focuses on playing Age of Empires, was followed by almost 65K PV. As for the highest AV number, the Jordanian channel عبسي لفترة محدودة, which broadcasts PUBG Mobile, saw 20.8K AV.
Only one channel broke the mark of 3 million HW in three months. Another five channels have more than 2 million HW. In total, the Top 6 includes two representatives from Jordan, three from Vietnam and one streamer from Spain. We should also note that all the content creators from the Top 10 mostly dedicate their time to one particular game or category, where they spend from 95% to 100% of their Airtime.
Top 10 Categories on Facebook Gaming in Q3 2022
PUBG Mobile solidly leads the ranking of the most popular categories on Facebook Gaming. In Q3 2022, this category accumulated almost 80.6 million HW. August became the most intensive month for HW — 33.3 million. It should be recalled that in that month PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 took place in Saudi Arabia, which was also streamed on Facebook.
In second place in the ranking is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang: in three months, mobile MOBA amassed 61.5 million HW. The MPL regional leagues in Indonesia and the Philippines, which kicked off in mid-August, made a big contribution here.
Interestingly, half of the places in the Top 10 are taken by mobile titles: PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Garena Free Fire, Arena of Valor and Call of Duty Mobile. Grand Theft Auto V remains the most popular non-mobile game in the ranking (39.6 million HW).
Dota 2 also made it into the ranking, amassing 8.5 million HW thanks to the PGL Arlington Major 2022 tournament and The International 2022 qualifiers. We should also mention the Hanging Out category, which accumulated more than 7.2 million HW in the quarter. Recall that this section is not dedicated to any particular title, but is a kind of Just Chatting on Twitch, focused on gaming.
